Ben Stiller got a special visit from his wife, Christine Taylor, while filming The Secret Life of Walter Mitty in NYC today. Ben and his costar Kristen Wiig have been working on reshoots over the past few days for their upcoming film, which Ben both directs and stars in. He took a break from his duties today to hug Christine but got into character yesterday drinking coffee with his onscreen love interest, Kristen.

While Ben is focused on the big screen, Kristen is taking time to celebrate her latest television comeback. Last weekend, Kristen returned to host her first episode of Saturday Night Live since her departure last year and participated in a hilarious pre-Mother's Day skit. She is also set to voice an FBI agent on an episode for The Simpsons' 25th season that will air in the Fall.

Saturday Night Live veteran Kristen Wiig is set to return to historic Studio 8H this weekend, but before she takes the hosting reins, she's taking a minute to jam out to Vampire Weekend's new single. Fan favorite Wiig teamed up with Fred Armisen for her promos, which include a small tour of her (fake) characters and a guilt trip for leaving her SNL castmates behind. The promos definitely got me jazzed for this weekend's episode. It'll be just like old times! The show is also featuring musical guest — who else? — Vampire Weekend.

It's been two years since Kristen Wiig killed it in Bridesmaids, and I've been anxious to see her headline another comedy.

It's been two years since Kristen Wiig killed it in Bridesmaids, and I've been anxious to see her headline another comedy. In the trailer for her latest movie, Girl Most Likely, she's certainly funny in the role of Imogene, though the laughs may come from a darker place. Her playwright character is trying to deal with career failure, and when she lands in the hospital after a meltdown, she has to go live with her self-involved mother (Annette Bening) at her Jersey Shore home. There, she's exposed to her mom's sleazy boyfriend (Matt Dillon) and the cute young guy (Darren Criss) who's renting a room in the house.

Though it looks like Wiig gets to do a little physical comedy, she seems to be playing more of a straight man while Bening gets to be a bit more outrageous. Even so, Wiig acting morose is still really funny, and I especially enjoyed her interactions with Dillon and Criss in the trailer. Girl Most Likely opens in limited release July 19, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Kristen Wiig plays Ben Stiller's love interest in the upcoming film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which Ben directed and starred in after spending years trying to get the project made. Kristen told us she was especially "flattered" he chose her as his costar knowing the movie was such a passion project for him. She and Ben previewed about 14 minutes of the film for audiences at CinemaCon in Las Vegas yesterday to an enthusiastic response. The remake of a 1947 film follows Ben as a man who escapes from his mundane existence into a world of daydreams and will hit theaters on Christmas Day.
