Kristen Wiig Stars in Old Navy's New Digital Campaign — and Brings Her Signature Humor to Important Causes

This month, Old Navy is unveiling the dream collab you didn't know you needed. The classic clothing brand has teamed up with comedian Kristen Wiig for a digital campaign around its Imagine Mission causes.

That's right: The actress is bringing her signature quirky comedic timing to Old Navy — the images and videos are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, thanks to Wiig's infectious sense of humor, but they also, crucially, raise awareness about important causes.

Each of the videos highlights a different Imagine Mission initiative. One clip celebrating Old Navy's support of youth arts programming features Wiig on stage in a Boys & Girls Club auditorium, surrounded by children in elaborate costumes. In a hilarious (and totally relatable) moment, she quips that she thinks about corn "all the time," referring to one child's costume. The bit is a play on the types of theater or arts programs made possible by Old Navy's multimillion-dollar donation to Boys & Girls Clubs this year.

The campaign also includes a video about the brand's This Way ONward program, which provides job opportunities and teaches career-building skills to underserved youth. Wiig jokes that all 20,000 new hires through the program would have a hard time fitting in one store.

Sustainability is a core pillar of the Imagine Mission Initiative as well, as captured in a video of Wiig hugging a tree — and being hugged back! Old Navy has taken several huge steps toward a greener future, pledging to eliminate all plastic shopping bags in US and Canada stores by 2023. Plus, 87 percent of the brand's denim is made with water-saving techniques, and stores have begun to implement an environmentally friendly hanger recycling program.
