We're in the midst of the late night host kerfluffle happening over at NBC, with no official word since Jeff Gaspin confirmed that they were trying to shuffle Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, and Jimmy Fallon into later time slots. While there has been no official agreement by any of the hosts, each of the shows must go on, and last night Leno and O'Brien took to their respective stages to address the situation. Naturally, they both make light of the situation, with Conan outlining his options:
To watch Jay and Tim Stack joking about their suggestion for the 10 p.m.

In what was easily the most anticipated panel of this year's Winter TCA, NBC Chairman Jeff Gaspin confirmed this morning that The Jay Leno Show will no longer air at 10 p.m. starting on Feb. 12.

Boy, I wouldn't want to solve this dilemma for Jay Leno: If he continues supporting the Hollywood writers' strike by staying away from The Tonight Show, his whole crew will be laid off. But if he comes back to work, he has to cross picket lines. Other late-night hosts are in similar jams this week, as their shows enter a second week of repeats and the networks start to get antsy.

This evening we'll watch as Jay Leno resumes his post at The Tonight Show after the long fiasco that we at Sugar HQ fondly refer to as the NBC Late Night Controversy of 2010. Guests Jamie Foxx, Brad Paisley, and Olympian Lindsey Vonn will be there to help welcome the host, as he tries to save face and bounce back in the ratings game.
Frankly, I'm curious to see if Leno can accomplish such a feat.

Jimmy Fallon's late night stock has been on the rise lately. First he got the real Robert Pattinson to join him in a "Robert Is Bothered" sketch, then he brought back the cast of California Dreams, and now Monday's show saw another reunion of sorts. With Chris Parnell as the guest, Jimmy asked him a few questions about the "Lazy Sunday" SNL digital short we all know and love.

After making jokes about his options last night, Conan O'Brien has just released a statement saying that he will not move to 12:05 a.m. with The Tonight Show, as proposed by NBC over the weekend at the Winter TCA.
O'Brien insists it's for the good of show, saying, "I sincerely believe that delaying The Tonight Show into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting.
