Anne Hathaway may be playing an egotistical businesswoman on screen, but in real life, she's sparking joy. While promoting her new Apple TV+ series, "WeCrashed," Hathaway made a stop at "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" on Tuesday evening. For the appearance, Hathaway wore colorful polka dots from head-to-toe in a three-piece Christopher John Rogers ensemble and a mini La Medusa bag from Versace.

With the help of stylist Erin Walsh, she paired a bustier top with wide-legged trousers and an oversized blazer, all in the same gradient dot jacquard print from the designer's fall 2021 collection, Collection 008. The line — and Hathaway's bright outfit — exemplifies Rogers's signature playfulness and graphism. "Let the clothes bring you JOY guys!," Walsh wrote on Instagram alongside photos of Hathaway. "Love that fashion can do that."

Featuring fresh shades of neon green, purple, and orange, the actor's look drew attention on the streets of Manhattan as she posed outside the show. The look is a fun shift from Hathaway's typically elegant, preppy style, though she's no stranger to experimenting with bold looks. For the virtual premiere of "Locked Down," she chose three different metallic dresses, while at "The Witches" premiere, she went for a dramatic red Ralph & Russo couture gown.

Prior to her recent late-night appearance, Hathaway was at SXSW in Austin, TX. At the "WeCrashed" premiere on March 12, Hathaway chose another distinct look: a sexy metallic Versace gown with cutouts along the sides. She also carried a meaningful mini purse to match featuring the transgender flag, a piece from sustainable Thai brand Pipatchara, which focuses on handwoven techniques and was created by two sisters. With the help of Walsh, it's clear Hathaway is taking a more thoughtful approach when it comes to choosing the clothing she wears in the public eye.
