Stars got a head start on the Grammys celebrations with a special event honoring Bruce Springsteen in LA last night. The MusiCares Person of the Year gala brought out Katy Perry, who is nominated and will present at Sunday's Grammys, as well as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. John performed after returning to the West Coast with Chrissy from a visit to NYC, where they attended the amfAR Gala. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw walked the carpet and also took the stage together, and Marcus Mumford hung out backstage with Johnny Depp after singing with Mumford and Sons. Bruce, the man of the hour, rocked the crowd with a performance himself, while Elton John, Sting, and others looked on. There's more Grammys fun to come before the big show — make sure to watch right here on POPSUGAR live Sunday at 4:30 p.m. EST/1:30 p.m. PST for all the action!
Paul and Nirvana Play the 12/12/12 Show With Kanye, Chris, and More Stars
Celebrities and rock stars joined up to help out with the 12/12/12 concert benefiting Hurricane Sandy victims in NYC last night. Katie Holmes, Kristen Stewart, and Blake Lively appeared at the event, which raised money for the Robin Hood Relief Fund. Blake donned a bright orange Isabel Marant dress, while Katie picked blue Tom Ford and Kristen wore a neon yellow Jonathan Simkhai getup.
Katie joined Jason Sudeikis to present a video called "Red Hook Rising," bringing attention to those affected in Brooklyn. Kristen, meanwhile, praised New Jerseyans and introduced Jon Bon Jovi. Blake spoke about Connecticut and brought out Chris Martin, who performed with Michael Stipe. Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, and many more musicians performed at the 12/12/12 concert. Paul McCartney gave a sensational performance when he joined up with the surviving members of Nirvana, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, to perform a new song called "Cut Me Some Slack."
The concert was broadcast both on TV and for free in movie theaters in the tri-state area, so Sandy victims had a place to enjoy the music. Superstorm Sandy left many in New York and New Jersey homeless and without power after it drove through the area in late October.

Kristen Stewart, Katie Holmes, and Blake Lively lent their star power to the 12/12/12 benefit for victims of superstorm Sandy in NYC last night. Aside from the leading ladies, a veritable who's who of musicians took the stage. We're talking Paul McCartney, Kanye West, and even a Nirvana reunion. We're checking out the highlights from last night in this PopSugar Rush.
Jimmy Fallon and Bruce Springsteen Cover "Whip My Hair"
Leave it to Jimmy Fallon to take the hot song du jour and turn it into a hilarious cover. The host took to the mic on his show last night to do a Neil Young rendition of Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair" with The Boss as his backup. The song starts off with Fallon gloomily crooning about his "haters," then midway through a ragged Bruce Springsteen joins in for the chorus. It's a brilliant collaboration, and honestly, the cover actually sounds pretty good! Watch the video after the jump.

Kate Hudson Joins Gaga, Elton, and More to Save the Rain Forest
Kate Hudson was just named the new face of Almay, and she was out last night to represent the brand at their concert to celebrate the Rainforest Fund's 21st birthday in NYC. Lady Gaga, Elton John, Mary J. Blige, Sting and more performed to the crowd at legendary Carnegie Hall. Kate, who showed off her singing skills in Nine, tried her hand at a duet with Bruce Springsteen. We may not all understand Kate's taste in men like Alex Rodriguez, but the actress looks like she's having a blast spending another season in the city. This time she's been staying away from Yankee Stadium, however, instead sticking to filming Something Borrowed, spending time with Ryder, and keeping her red carpet social schedule full.

TV Tonight: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Anniversary Concert
HBO is hosting a special tonight to celebrate the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 25th Anniversary, and the line-up is star-studded. U2, Metallica, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, and other acts each have a segment of the show where they'll be rocking their music, along with a few tunes by other artists who have inspired their work.

I'm glad to see Bruce and his boys here after hearing they might not perform together anytime soon, but what I'm most psyched to watch is the evening's unique musical pairings: Stevie Wonder and John Legend are teaming up to perform "The Way You Make Me Feel," Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band and Billy Joel have a duet to "New York State of Mind," and U2, Mick Jagger, and the Black Eyed Peas are coming together for "Gimme Shelter." Awesome! And those are just a sampling of the many collaborations.
The only downside: the show is four hours long (ugh). I don't know if I'll be able to sit through the whole thing without getting fidgety. Still, I'm programming it in my TiVo, so I can watch at my own leisure.
The concert airs at 8 p.m. EST/PST. Will you tune in? Which musical group are you most excited to see perform?

What Artist (Living or Dead) Would You Want to See on Tour?
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band recently played the final show of their tour in Buffalo, but is it the last time we'll see ever them? Springsteen sure made it sound like a goodbye saying, "The E Street Band has come thousands of miles tonight to be here one last time — for a little while." I'm wondering exactly what "a little while" means . . . Was this possibly their swan song?! I would've loved to have been there. They reportedly played for three and a half hours, so I'm sure it was an epic show.

It got me thinking about all of the acts I'd like to catch someday before they go the way of the E Street Band — and a few I wish I could see (at least in a dream world), e.g. Neutral Milk Hotel before they split, the original Weezer lineup, and the most obvious, The Beatles.
So chime in and tell me: which artists (living or dead) would you want to see on tour?
Do, Dump, or Marry? Bruce Springsteen

In honor of his 60th birthday (which is today!), Bruce Springsteen decided to mix things up and appear on the cover of AARP The Magazine. Who needs Rolling Stone anyway!
After years of performing, Springsteen still seems wildly popular. And he hasn't really lost his looks, or nice butt, either. Does The Boss turn you on?
