I'm surprised at how into this season of So You Think You Can Dance I already am; in only the second competition show so far, we watched some amazing pieces, and now I can say I've already been rocked by eliminations. SYTYCD's Brandon and Ariana Talk About Being Cut First
This week's ousted dancers from So You Think You Can Dance were the first to go since the top 20 were selected. Brandon Dumlao and Ariana Dubose got on the phone with a few reporters this morning, including me, to chat about how they feel after last night's elimination.

- On the timeline of replacing Billy Bell: I got the call on Friday at 11 in the morning and they told me that I was able to replace another dancer, and it was Billy, in this case.
So You Think You Can Dance Rundown: First Dancers Eliminated!
The emotional roller coaster of So You Think You Can Dance begins! The dancers competed for the first time on Tuesday, and with the enthralling routines came the first two contestant eliminations. We're now down to 18 dancers, and I'm so happy and relieved to finally be in the throes of the competition.
So You Think You Can Dance: Who Deserves the Top 20 Spots?
It wouldn't be season six of So You Think You Can Dance without an episode stretching things out a liiiittle longer before the competition, but Monday night's special, the one-off "Meet the Top 20," was actually a fun respite between auditions and competition. We were treated to an evening of the dancers performing in their own style, with no voting or judging taking place yet (that'll happen tonight, in the two-hour competition and voting blitz).
But just because no official voting began doesn't mean that we viewers weren't judging ourselves — I relished the opportunity to see everyone in their own style of dancing, because it's a level playing field.

After weeks of auditions, we finally have the top 20 dancers on So You Think You Can Dance! There were some surprises for who got cut, but on the whole, I'm so excited about this new round of contestants and can't wait until next week for the competition to start. So You Think You Can Dance Judges: Who Will You Miss?
This week, the second round of callbacks commenced on So You Think You Can Dance, and next week we finally get our gratification and find out who the top 20 are. While I can't wait for the competition, there's something else I'm looking forward to this season: the addition of Adam Shankman as a permanent judge. I've been excited to see Adam take his spot since the news was announced a few weeks ago, but seeing Adam react emotionally to one dancer's solo this week reminded me how much I like him as a judge.
SYTYCD: Which Dancers Do You Like So Far?
It's Vegas week on So You Think You Can Dance, which means that the contestants who've gotten a ticket to Nevada get evaluated again before they get to go to LA.
All of the judges are on hand to watch the dancers try out different dance styles out of their comfort zones to see if they can be put through in the competition, and the high stakes mean the dancing is rigorous. It's stressful just watching talented people struggle with different dance genres, and many don't make it.
So You Think You Can Dance Auditions Parts 4 & 5: Best Videos
So You Think You Can Dance has now moved into its twice a week schedule, so we were treated to auditions Tuesday and Wednesday night. As usual, I watched and judged who I liked best and worst from both nights.
However, no one's solo was necessarily terrible or crazy enough to get my coveted worst spot, but there was a great moment this week that I had to share here: Mary's Rules!
