Arrow Gets Renewed, Along With Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries

Those following sexy caped crusader Oliver Queen's vigilante action will be pleased to know that Arrow will be back for a second season.

Those following sexy caped crusader Oliver Queen's vigilante action will be pleased to know that Arrow will be back for a second season. But wait, there's more good news: The Vampire Diaries has also received an early pickup for season five and Supernatural will continue its epic run with a ninth season.

None of these renewals comes as a big shock, but they are a big relief. Arrow has been The CW's most consistent freshman series and most-watched show on the network this season. The Vampire Diaries was a sure bet, and let's face it, Supernatural will probably be on until the end of time. Are you happy about the renewals?

Sneak Peek: Jensen Ackles Suits Up Medieval Style For Supernatural

Theme episodes are my favorite, and one of the best things about Supernatural is that with so many creatures cycling in and out, practically every week feels like a theme episode.

Theme episodes are my favorite, and one of the best things about Supernatural is that with so many creatures cycling in and out, practically every week feels like a theme episode. Come Jan. 26, the Winchester boys are headed to the medieval fair to help solve some murders. That's exciting and all, but the best part is that Dean (Jensen Ackles) dresses up like a medieval peasant. It's live-action role-playing at its finest. Check out all the pictures from the episode and let us know if you'll be tuning in.

The CW Renews The Vampire Diaries, 90210, and Supernatural

Good news if you're a fan of The CW — the network has just renewed three series!

Good news if you're a fan of The CW — the network has just renewed three series! Fan favorites The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural will be back for seasons four and eight respectively, while 90210 will head into season five. It's no surprise that The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural will be back, especially since TVD is the network's highest-rated show, but I am a little shocked to see 90210 continuing to stay strong. The news leaves a few shows still left in the lurch, including Ringer, Hart of Dixie, and Nikita, but we're most interested to learn the fate of Gossip Girl, and whether or not the network will try to squeeze one more season out of the series.

The CW brought out a treat for the Winter TCA: their hot male actors. Kristoffer Polaha of Ringer, Wilson Bethel of Hart of Dixie, Jared Padalecki of Supernatural, Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl, Joseph Morgan of The Vampire Diaries, and Shane West of Nikita were all part of "The BadAss Boys of The CW" panel. The very good-looking group sat down, took questions, and quipped about why they (or their characters) were so badass. Read the funniest quotes while checking out the pictures, if you can take that much handsome.
