Andrew Garfield slipped into his skintight Spidey suit as filming for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 continued in New York this week. As excited as we are to see Garfield back in action, the real fun here is the first look at Shailene Woodley as the iconic Mary Jane Watson — complete with red hair, of course. Emma Stone will reprise her role as Gwen Stacy, but we can't wait to see Peter Parker's love life start to get a little complicated. Check out this first batch of photos, and tell us what you think of Woodley as MJ.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released May 2, 2014. We have the new pictures of Andrew Garfield in his Spider-Man costume and the details on the future of Emma Stone’s character.
Shailene Woodley stepped out in New York City with a new hair color: red. The formerly brunette actress will be playing Mary Jane Watson, the love interest opposite Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and she's clearly in character with her new red locks. Now that award season is over, it seems actresses are dying their strands for their latest roles, since we just saw Jennifer Lawrence debut her dark brown mane for her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, too. Even though Shailene's hair color changeup is for an upcoming film, what do you think of her new look?
Andrew Garfield kicked off his week in NYC by working on The Amazing Spider-Man 2, both yesterday and today. The actor suited up in his Spider-Man spandex on the set of the sequel yesterday, breaking to laugh at playbacks, then paired up with Shailene Woodley for today's scene. Shailene hopped on a motorcycle, with a noticeably redder shade of hair, for her role as the latest Mary Jane. She is among several new cast members signing on for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Andrew's return to his role as Peter Parker will mark the first film he's done since the first of the franchise, and his on and off-screen love, Emma Stone, will also return to her role as Gwen Stacy.
Shailene Woodley is one of the most talented actresses of our generation, and we were lucky enough to catch up with the stylish star backstage at Rebecca Taylor's Fall '13 runway show. While we happen to think that The Descendants star has a natural talent for putting together cool-girl ensembles — like the slick leather moto jacket and black pants she sported today — Shailene said that she's just begun to "appreciate fashion" in a way that she hasn't before. She also shared with us her tip for staying chic in the cold, as well as her very unexpected style icon. Push play to see our interview with Shailene now.
The Sundance Film Festival is in full swing in Park City, UT, and celebrities are bringing their cold-weather style A-game. With temperatures dipping into the freezing zone, warm layers and protective outerwear are key. Shailene Woodley caught our eye in Marni, while Jessica Biel and Naomi Watts went for outfits made up of wintry basics. Watch our Sundance style recap for all the details! Gwen Stacy has some competition. Shailene Woodley is in talks to play Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, which could be bad news for those of us who are rooting for Peter Parker and Gwen. We haven't heard much about the second installment yet (other than the news that Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and director Marc Webb are all returning), so this feels like the first real juicy piece of information.
I'm having trouble envisioning Woodley as the iconic character, but more importantly, I'm concerned that she won't have nearly as much chemistry with Garfield as Stone does — which is pretty important if this is supposed to be a love triangle. On the other hand, she might be a great choice because of her acting talent, which she proved in last year's The Descendants (and she'll surely make a cute redhead). I'd like to know how you feel about this decision, though — will Woodley be a good Mary Jane?
Emma Watson hit the red carpet in Armani for her The Perks of Being a Wallflower premiere in LA last night. She posed hand in hand with her costar Nina Dobrev, who donned a sexy Reem Acra dress, along with the rest of the Wallflower crew, Kate Walsh, Dylan McDermott, Ezra Miller, and Jackson Rathbone. Ezra even brought a cardboard cutout of Logan Lerman, who wasn't able to make the star-studded affair. Shailene Woodley was on hand to lend her support for the film as well. We caught up with all the celebs at the premiere — stay tuned for the video later today on PopSugar Rush.
The West Coast premiere was the latest stop on Emma's promotional tour. She linked up with Nina to premiere the film at the Toronto International Film Festival this past weekend, and last week stopped by the Late Show in NYC to chat about the coming-of-age film. Emma also hit the MTV VMAs last Thursday, and will grace the cover of Glamour's October issue.
