Show Off Your Ombré Hair With Cool Waves

If you have ombré highlights (or even just natural variations in tone) like Keke Palmer, styling your hair in big, soft curls is a great way to show them off.

If you have ombré highlights (or even just natural variations in tone) like Keke Palmer, styling your hair in big, soft curls is a great way to show them off. At last night's BET Awards, Keke's multitonal strands looked even better placed in California-cool-style waves. The look is surprisingly easy to achieve. Celebrity stylist Dean Banowetz explains that using a rotating styling tool like the InStyler ($119) is the perfect way to achieve the effect. Find out his tips when you read more.

Trend Alert: Purple Polishes

I don't think I need to tell you that a certain beigey-gray shade is hot for Spring.

I don't think I need to tell you that a certain beigey-gray shade is hot for Spring. The shade, which has just a hint of purple, is perfect if you love your polish to be neutral. But if you're looking to do purple in a more notice-me kind of way, you've got options. Take Kelly Osbourne and Keke Palmer, who recently wore low-key matte-toned versions of the icy hue. If it's more flash that you're longing for, think metallics and glitters à la Katy Perry at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards. Regardless of which finish you choose, keep the following tips in mind: light, matte shades tend to look best on shorter nails, while bold, dark shades are a great option for longer nails.

Teen Choice Awards: Keke Palmer

Can you believe Keke Palmer, of Akeelah and the Bee fame is only 15?

Can you believe Keke Palmer, of Akeelah and the Bee fame is only 15? The starlet manages to look mature, yet age appropriate, with her slicked back updo and bright poppy-red lips. What do you think of her eye-catching style? Does it compete with the sequins of her dress just a bit much or does she nail it with just the right amount of color?

The Results Are In: Recast "Family Matters"

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie.

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

It's true, "Family Matters" is one of those shows that is difficult to recast, since the performances — especially that of Steve Urkel — have become so iconic. I really liked some of the suggestions put forth by everyone this week, though, like La-Ma's idea of Wanda Sykes playing Harriette Winslow and mrspiven's suggestion of Eddie Murphy dressing in drag to play Mother Winslow (a la The Nutty Professor).

Yet my favorite list this week comes from laneylaney. I like it mostly because without even seeing this cast in action they're making me laugh. To see who laneylaney picked along with a new cast photo, read more

The Results Are In: Recast "The Cosby Show"

Just when I think I've come up with a really tough Recast, you guys manage to wow me once again.

Just when I think I've come up with a really tough Recast, you guys manage to wow me once again. I really thought last week's "The Cosby Show" challenge would be hard, since the series was on for eight seasons and had a large cast ranging from grade-school to middle-age.

But again, there were so many great entries I had trouble choosing a winner. I loved Happygirlhehe's choice of Bernie Mac to play Dr. Huxtable with Dee Dee Davis (Baby Girl on "The Bernie Mac Show") as Rudy. I was also tempted by Pinkrabbit's Wayne Brady pick for Cliff. But the best overall cast list came from Chancleta, so congrats to her for winning this week's challenge! To see her picks and a "new" cast photo, read more
