Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

Wow, I had no idea the recast challenge for "Full House" would be so much fun! The lists that came in this week were really creative and interesting. Among many others, one of my favorite picks was fieryelectra's idea of Seth Rogen as Joey, and I thought schultzie11's pick of John Mayer as Jesse was odd but funny. I also thought txhottie's idea of Neil Flynn (Janitor on "Scrubs") as Danny was unique, while juliesf's pick of another "Scrubs" star, Sarah Chalke, for the part of Rebecca would be a lot of fun.

As for overall lists, however, my favorite this week comes from alynn! To see who alynn picked along with a new cast photo, read more

"Heroes" Fans: Claire Gets a New Boyfriend

Remember Claire's sweet Southern diner fiance from the last season of "Heroes"?

Remember Claire's sweet Southern diner fiance from the last season of "Heroes"? Well, forget him. There's going to be a new guy in Claire's life: West, played by Nick D'Agosto. Yes, his name is going to be "West."

No news on exactly what kind of power he'll have, but apparently it's "very cool."

D'Agosto has been in a few TV pilots, but curiously, he's also in an indie movie called Rocket Science, the trailer for which I was just watching this morning. In it he plays Ben, a brilliant high school debater and the counterpart to the lead character Hal whose stutter prevents him from succeeding in the world of high school debate.

The trailer is incredibly endearing and funny, so I can see why the movie got great reviews at its Sundance premiere back in January. It looks similar to the awkward teenage indie movie Thumbsucker — only this time it's stuttering that's the problem, not thumb sucking — with elements of Napoleon Dynamite thrown in. The movie comes out in limited release August 10. To watch the trailer, read more

"Heroes" Recap: Episode 23, "How to Stop an Exploding Man"

According to Mohinder's voiceover at the end of the season finale of "Heroes," "We find purpose in each other — our shared experience of the fantastic...and the mundane."

According to Mohinder's voiceover at the end of the season finale of "Heroes," "We find purpose in each other — our shared experience of the fantastic...and the mundane." I think he is speaking specifically about the season finale. Mundane, indeed. I'm not utterly disappointed, but I'm not wowed or entirely satisfied either. I'm just going to say it: I think the "Desperate Housewives" season finale was actually better than the "Heroes" finale. Maybe my expectations were too high. Anyway, to check out my lists of likes and dislikes from the episode (spoiler warning) and to tell me what you thought of the "Heroes" finale, read more

TV Tonight: "Heroes" Season Finale!

Well, "Heroes" fanatics, the first volume of the superheroes' stories is almost over.

Well, "Heroes" fanatics, the first volume of the superheroes' stories is almost over. This is one time when I'm equal parts anxious to find out what happens in New York (bomb? no bomb? Peter? Sylar? Bueller?), and reluctant to see the season end. The description for this final episode, which is titled "How To Stop an Exploding Man," states: "The everyday people with extraordinary abilities face moments of pain and peril in Kirby Plaza with unflinching heroism, as [the] first volume comes to a close — and the next surprisingly begins." Argh! I'm so excited/sad! To whet your appetite, you can check out two intriguing sneak peeks if you read more

"Heroes" Recap: Episode 22, "Landslide"

On this week's episode of "Heroes" (the second-to-last one of the season!), all the heroes' stories start to merge together in an extremely satisfying way.

On this week's episode of "Heroes" (the second-to-last one of the season!), all the heroes' stories start to merge together in an extremely satisfying way. This show never fails to surprise me, yet it also gives me pretty much everything I want to see.

Mr. Bennet and Parkman go to retrieve "The Walker Tracking System," while DL and Jessica/Niki seek out Micah via Linderman. Nathan Petrelli is poised to win the election — with Micah's help. Meanwhile, Claire, Peter and Ted make an escape plan which goes awry thanks to — who else? — Sylar. Those are the least spoilery details, so if you haven't seen the episode do not read on. With so many great young actors working right now, it was fun to present the Clueless recast and watch the awesome lists roll in. I can definitely see Amanda Bynes as Cher, like so many of you suggested, though I also enjoyed WhiplashGirlchild's idea of Mandy Moore, and I would love to see "Ugly Betty"'s Becki Newton in the role, as alethe16 mentioned.

I also like PrissyLilBadAss's casting choice of Zoe Saldana for Dionne, and dropstar's idea to put Al Pacino in the role of Cher's gruff-but-lovable daddy. Overall, however, my favorite cast list comes from smugirl!

"Heroes" Recap: Episode 21, "The Hard Part"

This week's episode of "Heroes" was great.

This week's episode of "Heroes" was great. We meet Molly Walker as a "special" person, not just the little girl whose thoughts Parkman "heard" when she was crouching in the closet. We watch Sylar visit with his mother. We endure weird bonding moments between Peter and Claire, who still seem like they are flirting even though he's technically her uncle. And suddenly Mohinder has sexy muttonchops.

There was something lacking in this week's episode, though, and I'm not sure what it was exactly. Let's discuss — amidst the spoilers! — when you read more

TV Tonight: "Heroes"

The preview for tonight's episode of "Heroes" is exciting for many reasons.

The preview for tonight's episode of "Heroes" is exciting for many reasons. In particular, these three things struck me:

  1. Molly, the little girl that Parkman saved, is back and apparently she is "special" and integral to the plot.
  2. Sylar goes to see his mom, and I don't see that ending well.
  3. Finally, when faced with the ongoing mantra that if everyone "saves the cheerleader," they'll "save the world," Claire responds with an exasperated "How?!" For some reason I find that hilarious. Exactly, Claire. "How," indeed!

I can't wait for tonight's "Heroes," so tune in for my recap tomorrow and you can check out the preview if you read more
