New music time! This week's fresh crop of albums includes a couple of strapping young men and one industry veteran. Let's take a closer look at the new music.

Bruno Mars, Doo-Wops & Hooligans
The lowdown: Mars has collaborated on tons of chart-topping tracks you've heard before, but he makes his debut with an album that delves into different genres featuring laughable lyrics set to catchy hooks.
Choice tracks: "Just the Way You Are"
"Marry You"
"Runaway Baby"
Download this album if you: Don't mind listening to the same music as your cousin who's in high school.

KT Tunstall, Tiger Suit
The lowdown: The Scottish pop singer shifts gears with a third release of pulsing dance rhythms and multilayered tracks to enhance her rich and raw voice.
Choice tracks:"Uummannaq Song"
"Push That Knot Away"
"(Still a) Weirdo"
Download this album if you: Still can't get "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" or "Suddenly I See" out of your head (both of which were incredibly overplayed thanks to soapy primetime TV).

Gwyneth Paltrow, Sofia Vergara, and Ryan Seacrest Stand Up to Cancer Together

Vanessa Hudgens, Kristen Bell, and Mandy Moore walked the red carpet on Friday before heading in to take their seats at the Stand Up 2 Cancer phone banks in LA.

Vanessa Hudgens, Kristen Bell, and Mandy Moore walked the red carpet on Friday before heading in to take their seats at the Stand Up 2 Cancer phone banks in LA. The hour-long telethon was broadcast on multiple major networks and streamed across the web, and the effort raised more than $100 million dollars for research in the fight against the disease. Modern Family's Sofia Vergara and mom-to-be Christina Applegate, both of whom battled cancer in the past, proudly modeled t-shirts that read "Survivor."

Gwyneth Paltrow arrived on the West Coast on Thursday, ready to add her support to the event after attending Fashion's Night Out in London last week. She caught up with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, while Rob Lowe joined Diane Lane. Cindy Crawford, and Chuck's Zachary Levi helped in collecting donations, and fresh-from-Mexico Ryan Seacrest also lent his star power to the cause. Contributions to the charity are still being accepted, and they're even open to making good use of Facebook credits!

Rihanna, David, Kanye and More Jingle All the Way

Madison Square Garden got a little more festive — or just plain hot as in the case with Rihanna and Chris Brown — at this year's Jingle Ball on Friday night.

Madison Square Garden got a little more festive — or just plain hot as in the case with Rihanna and Chris Brown — at this year's Jingle Ball on Friday night. Rih and Chris weren't the only exciting act as acts from Leona Lewis to Katy Perry to the Veronicas took the stage as well. Busy Kanye found a moment to write about being impressed by his own outfit before performing the following night on SNL. David Archuleta surely made the crowd of teenage girls swoon and is dominating Buzz's pop album of the year poll. It was quite a night of music for the packed house as they danced their way though performances from some of the year's biggest acts.

Ryan Seacrest

Mrs. Montag Wouldn't Bet on Heidi and Spencer's Marriage

With performances by Lionel Richie and David Archuleta, it's no wonder everyone looked so happy at last night's Road to a Cure Gala in LA.

With performances by Lionel Richie and David Archuleta, it's no wonder everyone looked so happy at last night's Road to a Cure Gala in LA. Seacrest took the stage, but as usual Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt stole the show proudly displaying their new wedding rings. Theirs may not be remotely your favorite wedding of 2008, and something tells me Heidi's mom would agree. Beyond betting that their marriage will only last six months, she said, "I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It wouldn’t surprise me if [Spencer] had [Heidi] drugged." Not the most supportive words from the mom of the new bride, but we'll have to wait and see how her prediction plays out.

The Boys Showcase Signature Styles on the AMA Red Carpet

The guys were left to their own devices on the red carpet at the American Music Awards last night, but there weren't many surprises.

The guys were left to their own devices on the red carpet at the American Music Awards last night, but there weren't many surprises. Boy bands NKOTB and the Jonas Brothers never miss an opportunity to show off their formal wear, while Nick Lachey got suited up to publicly pose with Vanessa. Chris Brown mixed funky and classy with his leather jacket and bow tie, while Kanye and his tail managed to stand out without getting dressed up. While their performances were the highlights of the night, it's always fun to see what the guys pull out of their closets for the photo ops.

What to Download: New Music on iTunes

Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: Not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores, including iTunes.

Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: Not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores, including iTunes. So I take a spin through each week's iTunes music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download. Here's what's on my list this week:

Free sneak peek: This list is usually all about music, but I got a heads up today about some never-before-seen clips from the upcoming Twilight movie. There's been many a trailer out already, but there's some extended stuff in here that we haven't seen before, so enjoy! You can download the free clips here to savor until the movie hits theaters Nov. 21, and don't forget you can also grab the soundtrack now.

My kind of X-mas: This year when you're gathered around the fire sipping eggnog and mom reaches for the same old Christmas album, perhaps you can intercept her choice and convince her to give this album a try. This Warm December: A Brushfire Holiday, Vol. 1 is a laid-back holiday album with songs from some great artists including "Christmas" by Rogue Wave, a Mason Jennings cover of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," and "Someday at Christmas" by Jack Johnson.
