Matt Damon hit the red carpet for the LA premiere of Promised Land last night. He had wife Luciana by his side, but also posed with costar and pal John Krasinski. It was their second event of the week after also promoting the project with a screening in NYC on Tuesday. The next day, Matt, Luciana, and their three youngest daughters traveled to the West Coast together. They've been going back and forth between both coasts since purchasing a home near the Garner-Afflecks in LA over the Summer. It looks like they'll be staying put for at least a few days since Matt has press interviews this weekend and is also scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show on Monday.
Ginnifer Goodwin Showcases Her Engagement Ring at Big Love's Season Five Premiere!
Ginnifer Goodwin accessorized her bright salmon dress with her new engagement ring last night as she celebrated the debut of Big Love's fifth and final season in LA! She posed alongside fiancé Joey Kern but also made time to smile alongside costars Bill Paxton, the beautiful Jeanne Tripplehorn, and a Rodarte-clad Chloë Sevigny — what do you think of Chloë's cutout dress? Chloë's no stranger to showing some strategic skin after her bikini-filled New Year's vacation in Miami. Ginnifer debuted her diamond earlier this week at Nicole Richie's Lucky party, though she and Joey announced their plans to wed just before Christmas. Her happy marriage news was somewhat eclipsed by uproar over her comments about being in Weight Watchers since age 9, though she later clarified her story and said, "I've never had body issues, I've never had an eating disorder. I've never had to go on a diet and that's because of Weight Watchers." Ginnifer's healthy shape will be front and center Sunday when the first episode of her show airs — get a sneak peek of the drama to come and let Buzz know if you'll miss her series when it wraps up later this year.
HBO Brings Out Big Guns Before Heading to War With Pacific
HBO rolled out the red carpet last night for the LA premiere of The Pacific, the Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks produced war miniseries that starts airing next month. True Blood heartthrobs Ryan Kwanten, Alexander Skarsgard, and Stephen Moyer were all in attendance though Michelle Forbes filled in on the arm of Stephen in the absence of his fiance Anna Paquin. Alexander was a welcome face at New York Fashion Week events earlier this month, though his recent frequent date Kate Bosworth sat out yesterday evening's party as well. Cutie newcomer to the HBO family How to Make It in America's Bryan Greenberg was there to return the support after recently premiering his own show in NYC.

Sneak Peek at Big Love Season Four!
Police arrests! Covert meetings! Chloe Sevigny screaming! After a vague teaser, we're finally getting an in-depth look at the new season of Big Love, and it's a nail-biter.

Power and corruption appear to be two big themes, with Bill (Bill Paxton) getting even more ambitious with a run for state Senate. Meanwhile, Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) is throwing her own weight around with her growing career as a TV shopping channel host, and Nicki is questioning her feelings for Bill. We already heard that Amanda Seyfried is moving on from her role as Bill's eldest, and the preview hints at Sarah's departure — though we don't see much of the other kids. There are also the typical conflicts with the compound, but mostly I'm just curious if we're going to see Bill in handcuffs by the end of this season.

HBO Renews Its Vows With Big Love
Big news for Big Love: The polygamy drama will be back next year for a fourth season! HBO announced the renewal with a statement saying, "The series keeps getting better and better."

One thing that wasn't getting better, at least earlier this season, was the ratings — the show's season three premiere (which came after a long break caused in large part by the writers' strike) drew just 1.2 million viewers. But The Hollywood Reporter notes that the show's grown in the ratings each week since then, and the show's currently averaging about 5 million viewers a week once all the repeat airings are taken into account.
The show's excited co-creators gave E! a statement celebrating the good news, making the following promise to fans:
As season three continues they'll forget about the time they waited and get caught up in our best season ever. And we also swear we won't make them wait as long next year.
Well, that sounds promising. Tell me: Are you excited that there's more Big Love on the way in 2010?

Scarlett, Drew, Justin, and Ginnifer Are Very Into Afterparties
Drew Barrymore, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Scarlett Johansson kept the party going after the premiere of He's Just Not That Into You last night in LA. Jennifers Aniston and Connolly skipped the fun, but Ginnifer and Scarlett stayed to chat with Goodwin's Big Love costar Bill Paxton. Drew Barrymore mingled with the film's fellow producer, her partner and Jimmy Fallon's wife, Nancy Jovonen. Despite giving Justin a big hug, Drew wanted to set the record straight about her dating life. She said, "I'm the character I played in the film. I'm surrounded in gay men and I'm single." Single or not, it sounds like Drew bonded with her whole cast — even though she won't make it to Aniston's 40th birthday party next week.

First Look: Big Love Season Three

It's been such a long wait for the third season of Big Love. Thanks to the writers' strike, the HBO drama won't return till January — almost 18 months after it was last on TV.
But there are finally some real signs that we're getting close to the premiere, including the first couple of promos that HBO's rolled out over the past week or so. The first is creepy and moody; there's no dialogue, just the haunting sounds of the Black Keys song "Lies" while some seriously dark things take place in the brief video clips. The second includes interviews with several cast members talking about how the show has been "amped up" for the third season. Here's hoping that whatever we see in January makes this long wait worthwhile. Don't forget you can still catch up on Big Love in four minutes if you want to be ready to go when the third season premieres. If you're ready to check out the new stuff, just read more
JT Dances Pantless and Parties With Jennifer After SNL
While Paul Rudd hosted SNL this weekend, Justin Timberlake almost stole the show with his two hilarious appearances — check out his no pants dance moves after the jump. For the after party, the cast and friends headed to Dos Caminos to celebrate a successful show at the end of a long week of rehearsals. Jennifer Aniston joined in the fun, perhaps JT invited Mr. Mayer when they were chatting it up earlier in the week. Justin should be getting used to late nights in the city that never sleeps as he and Jessica are supposedly moving into a new $5.5 million condo soon. That lawsuit filed by a former worker at Southern Hospitality must not be too much skin off his back.

TV Tonight: Big Love, From the Beginning

HBO was kind enough to fill the Big Love-sized hole in my heart with a recap video a few weeks back. But if you'd rather catch up on the show's first two seasons the old-fashioned way, it will be possible starting tonight.
HBO2 will air one episode from the series in order for the next 24 Saturdays, starting at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT tonight. It's the first time I can remember that HBO has shown the series in its entirety, and it's a great opportunity to meet the Henricksons if you've yet to make their acquaintance.
If you've never seen Big Love, I've got a promo for the first season; just read more
