Hitchcock, the film that takes a look at the goings-on of Alfred Hitchcock and his inner circle during the filming of 1960's Psycho, recently came out on DVD. What happened behind the scenes of a movie that actually looks at life behind the scenes of a movie, however, is quite remarkable. Nominated for an Oscar in best makeup and hairstyling, the special effects makeup team of Howard Berger and Peter Montagna (nominated alongside hairstylist Martin Samuel), transformed legendary actor Anthony Hopkins into iconic film director Alfred Hitchcock.

Doing so didn't come without its challenges. "You have an actor like Anthony Hopkins, and you're faced with the task of taking one of the best-known actors in the world and transforming him into a perfect portrait of one of the greatest directors ever known," Berger explained. See what else he and Montagna had to say about the entire Hopkins-to-Hitchcock metamorphisis when you click through.

If you're in the mood for some retro suspense this Thanksgiving weekend, check out the new biopic Hitchcock, which hits theaters today. The film stars Anthony Hopkins as the famed director and centers on his relationship with his wife (played by Helen Mirren) in addition to the hurdles he had to overcome when filming Psycho. Scarlett Johansson stars as the shower-scene-stealing Janet Leigh, and if there's one thing Hitchcock is known for, it's his stunning — and mostly blond — heroines. Feisty ladies in movies like Vertigo, The Birds, and To Catch a Thief may be dealing with some frightful situations, but they never fail to dish out snappy words of wisdom along the way. Buzz In: What's Your Favorite Alfred Hitchcock Movie?

No matter how I feel about the gore and jump-scares of modern horror films, I do consider myself a fan of well-made ones, looking to legendary director Alfred Hitchcock as the king of them.

No matter how I feel about the gore and jump-scares of modern horror films, I do consider myself a fan of well-made ones, looking to legendary director Alfred Hitchcock as the king of them. I've seen — and adore — many Hitchcock movies, so naturally I'm interested in The Mountain Eagle. Never heard of it? That's because it's missing, and The British Film Institute is trying to find it.

Hitchcock himself described it as "awful," but I don't care. I'm still curious about it, and doubt that anything that the "Master of Suspense" made would be bad. In fact, my Hitchcock favorites are many: I could watch Vertigo and The Birds over and over again and never tire of either (black crows still weird me out, by the way). What are your favorite Hitchcock films?

Buzz Gift Guide: Goodies For Gramps

Welcome back, folks, to the next installment of my Buzz Gift Guide series for all the entertainment lovers in your life.

Welcome back, folks, to the next installment of my Buzz Gift Guide series for all the entertainment lovers in your life. Yesterday I suggested some fun gifts for grandma (after tackling mom and dad), and that leaves us with grandpa!

The first thing I thought of for my grandpa was the soundtrack to AMC's hit show Mad Men. I know he'd enjoy the collection of tunes by artists like The Andrews Sisters, Bobby Vinton and Rosemary Clooney.

A lot of grandpas might also appreciate some help with ditching the old rabbit ears and updating to a digital converter. This model looked pretty sleek and shiny to me, and you can even help him apply for a coupon!

If your gramps is squared away technology-wise then he also might appreciate this Alfred Hitchcock DVD collection or the complete series of Get Smart.

LG Product Name, or Alfred Hitchcock Film Title?

When I did my last quiz, Cell Phone or Perfume Name?, I think we both noted that the primary offender with their one-word, splashy names is LG.

When I did my last quiz, Cell Phone or Perfume Name?, I think we both noted that the primary offender with their one-word, splashy names is LG.

The electronics company uses these names for their cell phones and other tech products to titillate and appeal to customers. You know who else did that? Alfred Hitchcock.

It seems like LG has been taking notes from the seminal horror-film director, but thankfully, there's no "LG Psycho" yet.

See if you can pick out which is which!
