Rooney Mara's Hillside Home Is a Millennial's Midcentury Dream

Rooney Mara is done with the modern hillside home she purchased from Alexander Skarsgard for $2.9 million in 2015. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo actress recently listed the LA home for nearly a million more than what she paid — for $3.8 million, to be exact.

Looking at pictures of the home, it makes sense that it's been inhabited by two famous Hollywood fixtures. Built in 1963, the nearly 2,500-square-foot home boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lovely sunlit kitchen, and an impressive wraparound balcony. There's also quite the incredible view of Los Angeles. Stylistically speaking, Rooney turned the modern residence into a hip bungalow with minimalist midcentury furniture and eclectic rugs.
