Until I saw this trailer mashup, I never realized how much Home Alone and I Am Legend have in common. The last human on earth last kid in the house getting terrorized by zombies Daniel Stern . . . the similarities are endless! (Thanks, eBaumsWorld!)

When you're home alone, do you do the same things that you'd do if your boyfriend, husband, or sister was over? I've been home sick for the past few days and I've noticed that I definitely have my own secret single behaviors that are actually quite funny: I eat my favorite comfort foods, I set up shop on the couch and indulge in reality TV, I wear my most comfortable worn-in baggy sweat pants, and I soak in the tub until I turn into a prune! Now you all know my secret routine, so what's yours? Do tell ladies, what do you do when you're home alone?

Wow, you all really blew me away with your response to my most recent Buzzworthy challenge about comfort movies. Your lists of trusty favorites were fantastic — but I really loved reading your descriptions of how and why the movies came to be your fallback films. It was so hard to pick some to list here, so I highly recommend reading through them all yourselves! Tough as it was to choose, here are just a few of the many that caught my eye:

The Princess Bride

This Parker Posey movie was tagged by marcella, who said: "Great comfort movie with a hilarious Parker Posey as the title character that parties so much that she can't afford to pay her rent. She gets a job as a librarian. It's totally a trashy film, but I turn to it when I want to turn my brain off and just laugh."

You can't predict an emergency, but you can plan for it. I may sound like my mother when I say this but not everything in life comes with advance warning. And, sometimes, a little preparation can go a long way. First off, make neighbors aware that you have a pet. Usually they are, but safeguard yourself by hanging a decal on your window or door that alerts people of the pets inside.
