Listen, I love my boomer parents and I'm glad they are fully vaccinated and healthy, and I can't wait to see them in a few weeks. But I couldn't stop myself from cracking up at this Saturday Night Live "Boomers Got the Vax" sketch that aired during its March 27 show with host Maya Rudolph. In a late-'90s-style rap, Chris Redd, Mikey Day, Kate McKinnon, Kenan Thompson, and crew point out the accuracy of a generation that was responsible for multiple economic crashes, graduated college with no student loan debt, can afford multiple houses and cars, and, oh yeah, was hesitant to take COVID-19 seriously. Now, after being fully vaccinated, they are living it up on cruise ships and eating in restaurants.

Baby boomers can blame us millennials for not affording a mortgage because we eat too much avocado toast and for killing the paper napkin industry, but we can always hang over their heads that, yes, they still need to wear masks and pay attention to CDC guidelines, especially during a global pandemic.
