Selma Blair Opens Up About the Difficulties of Living With MS in Emotional Instagram Post

Selma Blair shared an emotional look at what it's really like to live with multiple sclerosis. On Sunday night, the actress posted a photo of herself cuddling a stuffed bear and included a lengthy caption outlining the struggles she's faced because of the disease. "There is a truth with neurogedenerative brain disease. It is uncomfortable. It is a stadium of uncontrollable anxiety at times. Going out, being sociable holds a heavy price. My brain is on fire," she wrote. Selma was diagnosed with MS in October, and she's been candid about the fact that it's a battle.

The Cruel Intentions star, who's mom to 7-year-old Arthur Saint Bleick, continued with an optimistic sentiment, saying, "I have a full week ahead with mothering and appointments and things to look forward to. But like many of us, I am praying. Soaking in love where I can. It's not easy. That's OK." Selma included the hashtags #stillanactress and #willmakeitwork.

She also got real about the fact that self-care can be a serious mood booster — for Selma, that's her new blond bob haircut. She gave a shout-out to her colorist and said, "I can't thank you enough for the morale boost of blonde." Read Selma's heartfelt post in full above.
