Pull up a cushion and get comfy because Blue Ivy Carter is in charge of story time now, and we're all ears. Following the rapid success of former NFL player Matthew A. Cherry's short film Hair Love, 8-year-old Blue Ivy will narrate the audiobook adaptation of the book that the film was originally based on. The read tells the story of a young Black father learning to style his daughter Zuri's hair for the first time, delivering a heartwarming and powerful message of encouragement to Black children about loving their natural hair.

"Our Hair Love audiobook is live. Narrated by Blue Ivy Carter. Link in bio and available everywhere audiobooks are sold," Matthew captioned an Instagram post featuring a clip of Blue Ivy's narration. For years, Blue Ivy, like many young girls of color, has been the subject of cyberbullying in regards to her hair, making it all the more empowering that she's using her voice to inspire others to embrace their natural hair and recognize their beauty.
