Netflix's Crime Comedy Murderville Is Unlike Any Celebrity-Guest-Star Show You've Seen

What if instead of the late-night-talk-show circuit, celebrity guest stars helped detectives solve homicides? That wild concept is the premise of Netflix's upcoming series Murderville. The show combines comedy and crime as Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett) employs celebrities each week to help him solve a murder. The twist is, the celebrity guests don't get a script. Each guest — including Annie Murphy, Conan O'Brien, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch, and Sharon Stone — will have to improvise alongside Arnett to name the killer. It's essentially a whodunnit murder mystery, but funnier.

"I want you to think of this as your crime scene," Arnett tells Stone in the trailer. Arnett is also shown giving wires to his guests as they go "deep undercover" to solve the murders. Murphy goes the extra mile by wearing a false mustache. Meanwhile, Lynch is filled with determination as he states, "We're gonna catch this motherf*cker." Best of all, each of the celebrity guests tries super hard not to break character. Watch the trailer above, and check out Murderville on Netflix on Feb. 3.
