What I'm Listening to This Week: Remember When We "Threw Some D's on That B*tch?"

In this edition What I'm Listening to This Week, I'm still reeling from Mac Miller's posthumous album Circles, and have gone down a rabbit hole revisiting his entire discography. Needless to say, it's been a pretty emotional week, so I've also been spinning a few 2000s-era hip-hop songs that never fail to life my spirits (remember Rich Boy's "Throw Some D's?" Of course you don't). Here's what you should slam the play button on this week and why.

"Good Life" by Kanye West feat. T-Pain

2000s Kanye is the best Kanye (to me, personally). No matter where I am or what I'm going through, this song is a certified mood-lifter.

"Miss Me" by Drake feat. Lil Wayne

Whew, don't let this song come on in a public space, baby! I know every word from start to finish and will gladly rap Lil Wayne's part simultaneously. If "Miss Me" is ever on a karaoke list, just step back and let me do my thing.

"Back Like That" by Ghostface Killah feat. Ne-Yo

I'm including this because I love Ghostface, but mostly because an ex-boyfriend actually included this track on a burned CD he gave me after our breakup (I think I was supposed to want him back instead of moving on? LOL).
