The Mistress America Trailer Will Make You Want to Be BFF With Greta Gerwig

Greenberg and Frances Ha director Noah Baumbach has made yet another film with his muse (and real-life girlfriend), Greta Gerwig. Set in New York City, Mistress America features Gerwig as Brooke, an adventurous New Yorker who takes her soon-to-be stepsister (Lola Kirke) under her wing. Brooke lives in Times Square, freelances as an interior decorator, and prides herself on being an autodidact. She also spouts off useful advice like: "There is no cheating when you're 18. You should all be touching each other all the time." Even if you haven't seen Baumbach and Gerwig's previous collaborations, it's time to hop aboard the quirky train. Mistress America opened to great reviews at the Sundance Film Festival, and it hits theaters on Aug. 14.
