Jonathan Groff Doesn't Just Have the Face of an Angel — He Has the Voice to Match
Not only is Jonathan Groff absolutely adorable, he has a voice like no other — which he made sure to put on full display as King George III in Hamilton. While he's well known for starring on shows like Mindhunter, Looking, and Glee, he actually got his start on Broadway in 2005 as an understudy/swing in the show In My Life.
While In My Life may have been his Broadway debut, his first starring role was as Melchior Gabor in the rock musical Spring Awakening, which tells the story of somewhat repressed 19th-century German teenagers discovering teenage sexuality. Since then, he has appeared on stage as King George III in Hamilton, Claude Hooper Bukowski in Hair, J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Gordon Michael Schwinn in A New Brain, and Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors.
It doesn't matter if you recognize Groff because of his show-stealing role as Jesse St. James on Glee or as an uptight FBI agent on Mindhunter, you can still enjoy the videos ahead of his practically perfect singing voice.
