John Legend and Common delivered an inspiring performance of their song "Glory" on the last night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention on Thursday. After an impactful look back at Rep. John Lewis's life and activism, Legend and Common sang the famous theme song from the 2014 film Selma in honor of the late congressman.

The Oscar-winners' rendition was a moving and perfectly fitting close to the emotional tribute to Lewis, with Legend and Common's powerful vocals and rap supported by a beautiful gospel choir. The historical movie portrayed the marches from Selma to Montgomery in 1965, led by civil rights activists James Bevel, played by Common, Martin Luther King Jr., Hosea Williams, and John Lewis.
