Stevie Nicks Just Threw Her Support Behind a "Daisy Jones and The Six" Season 2

Fans who fell in love with the Amazon Prime Video series adaptation of the Taylor Jenkins Reid book "Daisy Jones & The Six" — which wrapped up airing its 10 episodes in March — have already been discussing the possibility of a second season. And it seems the cast, creators, and even the inspiration behind the show, Stevie Nicks, are on board.

While we wait to hear more about the show's future, read ahead to see what all the key players have said about a possible season two so far.

"Daisy Jones and The Six" Cast Quotes About a Possible Season 2

"It would be so nice to do a season two," Suki Waterhouse, who plays Karen in the series, told E! News at the Revolve Festival at Coachella on April 17. "I would love that. We just have to figure out the story."

Waterhouse also admitted that the cast have a few thoughts of their own about the direction it could go in. "We have a lot of silly ideas," she said. "I guess it could be a reunion tour." Waterhouse, who is currently filming an unspecified project with "Daisy Jones & The Six" costar Sam Claflin added, "We are all actively talking about it, and I heard just in my own camp that people really want us to go on tour, like in a very serious way."

"Daisy Jones and The Six"'s Producers' Quotes About a Possible Season 2

Lauren Neustadter, one of the producers behind the show, shared her thoughts about a possible second season in an interview with Variety published on Aug. 12. "If any time Amazon came to us and said, 'What would it be?' we would put our little thinking caps on about it," she said. Lauren's husband, Scott Neustadter (who's also one of the writers of the show), added, "It's super fun to sit and talk to Taylor for hours about where we think we could take this next. It was a calculated move to move [the flash forwards] to their 40s. There's a lot of life left to live, so there could be a future."

They also shared that there were even some plans to stage a real "Daisy Jones and The Six" concert, but they were scrapped amid the SAG-AFTRA strike. Still, the Neustadters hope they can make it happen down the line. "We're not giving up," Lauren added. "I believe they will perform. The question is when."

Taylor Jenkins Reid's Quotes About "Daisy Jones and The Six" Season 2

The author behind the "Daisy Jones" book is seemingly on the same page as everyone else. "I think we're in a really fortunate position where we have a story that is final, and has an ending that feels really good," Reid told Variety back in March. "I would only open that back up if it felt like there was a story here that we have to tell. Have I been thinking about what that is? I certainly have."

The series certainly garnered a loyal fanbase, but some fans picked up on the many changes made to Reid's original story. While some alterations — like Simone's beefed-up role — were welcomed with open arms, others received mixed reviews (mainly, that kiss between Billy and Daisy). Still, while fans might not love all the changes, they may have opened the door for a second season of the show, whereas the book neatly wraps things up.

Reid said to Variety that she was OK with the direction Amazon took with her novel, admitting she never expected the series to be a one-to-one copy. "I don't think I've ever wanted someone to go film my book exactly as it is," she said in that same March interview. "Here's a new version of this story. Here are new versions of this song. Here's a new way to enjoy this. Hopefully, my readers will feel like they're finding the things that they loved about it, but also that it is something different. I like that it's different. I don't feel the need to compare them quite the same way as I have seen some people do."

The only requirement Reid had when handing over the rights to her story was that the creators didn't change one core aspect of the story: Daisy and Camila must not compete with each other. "I was clear that this is about women, first and foremost, that are not in competition with each other," Reid explained of her early conversations with the show's producers. "I knew that it meant the same thing to me that it meant to them."

While the "Daisy Jones & The Six" book ends pretty conclusively, with the characters all aged into their mid-60s, that's not the case with the show. The documentary that facilitates the narrative is filmed 20 years after the band's rise to fame in the '70s, which means they're significantly younger. So the possibility of a second season is real.

The idea of getting the show's amazing cast back together makes the prospect of a second season even more appealing to Reid. "To see the performances that you have from this cast, and specifically Riley [Keough] and Sam [Claflin], and be willing to walk away from that without asking yourself whether you could give them another opportunity to dig into these characters would be very silly," she continued. "I'm not so stupid as to not recognise what we have in the two of them. So it's definitely on my mind."

Fleetwood Mac's frontmen Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham's volatile real-life relationship inspired some aspects of "Daisy Jones & The Six," and their story certainly didn't end with Fleetwood Mac's first breakup, so the possibilities here are endless.

Fleetwood Mac's Quotes About "Daisy Jones and The Six" Season 2

One of the inspirations behind "Daisy Jones," Nicks, weighed in with her feelings about the show on Twitter on Aug. 15, writing, "Just finished watching @daisyjonesand6 for the 2nd time. In the beginning, it wasn't really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story. It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story. It was very emotional for me."

She went on to hint that she'd like to see a season two happen while remembering her late bandmate, Christine McVie, who died in November 2022. Nicks wrote, "I just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it. Hopefully it will continue."

Perhaps Nicks would be open to participating in a second season in some way? Fans of the show can only hope!
