9 Reasons We’re So Excited to See the Beverly Hills, 90210 Cast on Screen Again

How much in your life has changed in 19 years? Probably a whole lot. Back in 2000, when the original series ended, Donna and David got married, Kelly started a PR company and got back together with Dylan, Brandon became a journalist and traveled the world, Brenda toured abroad as an actress, Steve started a newspaper company with his wife, and Andrea has a baby but was noticeably missing a wedding ring. So where are they now? What came of their relationships? What are their careers? Have they matured? Which leads us to . . .

Brenda Walsh/Shannen Doherty left after season four — way back in 1994 — in a dramatic fashion both on screen and off. We'd be lying if we said we didn't miss Brenda's presence on the show. It was a wild ride watching the Minnesota transplant fit in amongst her fabulous blonde peers, seeing her constantly fall in love with and break up with Dylan, laughing at her hilarious fake French accent when dating Rick in Paris, learning from the time she discovered a lump in her breast, and relating every time she argued with her parents. We can't wait to witness her triumphant return.

Dylan McKay: the man, the myth, the eyebrow scar. Many of us pined for both Luke Perry and Dylan — it's always hard to separate the two. We felt heartbroken every time Dylan screwed up or got dumped, swooned every time he waxed poetic, and were at a complete loss for words when separately both his on-screen fiancé Toni Marchette and father were savagely killed off . . . and then his dad turned out to be alive?!?! Things will not be the same with Dylan or Luke.

Andrea Zuckerman was the responsible valedictorian and Brandon Walsh was a loyal friend with frequently questionable taste in women (Emily Valentine, anyone?). But we never really knew much about the actors themselves. Turns out Gabrielle Carteris became the vice president of the Screen Actors' Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, while Canadian actor Jason Priestly became an American citizen, survived a bad accident while race car driving, married a makeup artist, and had kids. We wonder if BH90210 will depict them more like their characters, themselves, or somewhere in between — and we're super curious if we'll get a true glimpse into their personal lives.

On screen, the gang believably took on the roles of first loves, besties, and even frenemies (tbh, part of us thinks that deep down Brenda never got over Kelly and Dylan's relationship). What will their chemistry be like all these years later? Will Donna and David still have sparks?

Where do these West Beverly Hills High grads fit in now amongst a world of influencers and social media? Was David Silver able to navigate the dramatic changes in the music industry? Is Steve still driving the hottest sports cars? Signs point to yes, but we'll have to wait until August 7 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT when the first episode premieres on FOX to find out.

Just like a nostalgic meal served up by Nat and Laverne (please tell us you remember Laverne) at the Peach Pit, there's something so comforting and satisfying about seeing this crew reunited.
