Stefan Salvatore may be dead, but Caroline's love for him lives on. Candice King, who is set to reprise her The Vampire Diaries character during the fifth and final season of The Originals, posted her first photo from set on Wednesday, and we are already going crazy combing through the details. Not much is known about her appearance in the upcoming premiere, but season four ends with Klaus's daughter, Hope, attending Caroline and Alaric's supernatural boarding school. While we're certainly eager to see Caroline reunite with the original vampire, it seems like she might still hold a candle for Stefan, whom she married during the final season of TVD.

The proof? Eagle-eyed fans couldn't help but notice that King seems to be wearing a ring around her neck in the set picture. In fact, if you zoom in just enough, it actually bears the same shape and size of — you guessed it — her engagement ring to Stefan.
