Get Your OOTD Ready, Because the "Bama Rush" Documentary Is Now on Max

In just a few months, hopeful sorority rushees will flood #RushTok with get ready with me (GRWM), outfit of the day (OOTD), and day in my life (DIML) videos documenting every moment of the sorority rush experience. No school does #RushTok bigger than the University of Alabama, where more than 11,000 students participate in Greek life.

There's no need to wait for the official start of fall rush in August for your fill of the highs and lows of sorority life, though: the "Bama Rush" documentary is now available to stream on Max. The feature-length film follows four young women who rushed Alabama sororities in 2022, exploring both their personal backgrounds and their experiences through four highly competitive rounds of recruitment events.

It's not all cute outfits and hopeful excitement, though. The documentary also explores the undercurrent of racism running through the university's Greek system, where fraternities and sororities remained segregated until 2013. There are even rumbles about the Machine, the on-campus secret society that some say wields outsize power over the university's Greek system and social scene.
