Life has a way of giving you just what you need when you least expect it, and the trailer for Ammonite proves just that. Famed paleontologist Mary Anning (Kate Winslet), who was a real person, believes her days of great discoveries are behind her as she finds common fossils for rich tourists to support herself. So when the rich Roderick Murchison (James McArdle) asks Mary to look after his wife, Charlotte (Saoirse Ronan), she can't refuse, and in the process, Charlotte and Mary discover there's a much deeper connection between them.

Set against the harsh and brutal backdrop of a wild English coastline and written and directed by Francis Lee, Ammonite highlights both Winslet and Ronan's top-notch acting. From their furtive glances and subtle hand touches, you can feel the slow burn of their yearning. Although the trailer gives us glimpses of happiness, something tells us you're going to need a few tissues. Despite the fact we may bawl our eyes out, we're ready to escape to 1840s England when the film premieres on Nov. 13.
