Why "You Can't Embarrass" the Turning Red Cast

When Pixar drops a new movie, you know it's going to be a breathtaking coming-of-age story that's chock-full of laughs and heart. "Turning Red" is no exception, and that's thanks in part to its incredibly charismatic stars who breathe life into their characters. POPSUGAR spoke to Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Sandra Oh, Hyein Park, and newcomer Rosalie Chiang, who anchors the film as a 13-year-old coming to terms with her inner red panda.

The cast did not hold back when talking about their own middle school experiences. They dished on those "ew, mom!" cringeworthy moments every teen can remember and walked us through their middle school musical obsessions (that run the gamut from from Duran Duran to K-pop). Plus, Ramakrishnan reveals how her dad embarrassed her so much as a kid, she's now fully "unphased . . . bring it on!"
