Matt Damon was on Good Morning America today to talk about his role in The Monuments Men, a historical drama directed by George Clooney. Before he shared details on the film, Robin Roberts asked Matt how he was handling the sudden death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, who tragically passed away on Sunday. Matt and Philip worked together on The Talented Mr. Ripley, which was released back in 1999. "He's one of the best actors that ever lived . . . without a doubt," Matt said. "And he was an even better person. He was a beautiful, beautiful person." Watch above to see what Matt had to say, and make sure to read why there was so much more to Philip than just acting.
