Jimmy Fallon Gives an Uplifting Speech at Parkland Graduation: "Choose to Move Forward"

Jimmy Fallon made a surprise appearance at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School's graduation over the weekend. On Sunday, The Tonight Show host gave the commencement speech at the Parkland, FL, school where a mass shooting took the lives of 17 people. "Today you're graduating from high school," he told the students. "You should feel incredibly proud of yourselves."

After cracking a few jokes during his speech — including a reference to the "Yanny" or "Laurel" debate — he took a more serious note as he offered some encouraging words to the graduation class. "The first thing is this: when something feels hard, remember that it gets better," he said. "Choose to move forward. Don't let anything stop you."
