Jennifer Lawrence Apologizes For Her Controversial Sacred Rock Story: "I Meant No Disrespect"

Jennifer Lawrence is currently on a press tour for Passengers with Chris Pratt, and her recent stop on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month is causing controversy. After discussing the film, Jennifer told a story about how she used to scratch her butt on ancient and sacred rocks while filming The Hunger Games in Hawaii. "You're not supposed to sit on them because you're not supposed to expose your genitalia to them," she said. "I, however, was in a wetsuit . . . and they were so good for butt itching." She then went on to explain how one of the rocks became loose and it almost killed one of the sound guys.

Naturally, people weren't happy with Jen over her seemingly lack of awareness for Hawaiian culture. After many fans took to social media expressing their outrage and demanding that the actress apologize, she released a statement on her official Facebook page:
