Jamie Foxx resurrected his spot-on Dave Chappelle impression during a "Jimmy Kimmel Live" appearance on Aug. 10. While catching up with "In Living Color" costar and guest host David Alan Grier, Foxx detailed how he's returning to standup comedy this fall, with material revolving around the unexpected situations he finds himself wrapped up in. One such situation took place this May when Foxx swooped in to help Chappelle after he was tackled on stage during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

While recounting the story to Grier, Fox couldn't help but mimic Chappelle, slipping in and out of his take on the comic's distinct voice. He's impersonated him on several occasions in the past, including on his Netflix sitcom "Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!" and during a Kimmel interview last year.

The Oscar-winning actor has plenty of other celebrity impressions hiding up his sleeve, dropping them when we least expect it. Through the years, he's impersonated a slew of stars like Al Pacino, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Denzel Washington, to name a few. Plus, he can even mimic singers, channeling Mick Jagger, Jennifer Hudson, and John Legend for Jimmy Fallon's Wheel of Impressions game back in 2015.

During his recent "Jimmy Kimmel Live" interview, Foxx also discussed his role in Netflix's upcoming vampire action comedy "Day Shift," which hits the streamer on Aug. 12. The cast also includes Dave Franco, Snoop Dogg, Meagan Good, and Karla Souza. "There are two or three sequences in here that are the most incredible fight scenes that you've ever seen," Foxx teased, adding that he did his own stunts for the film.
