Saweetie's Rainbow Coachella Hair Is the Epitome of "Powerpuff Core"

Sugar, spice, and everything nice. On April 15, a fourth Powerpuff Girl was spotted roaming around the desert — or at least that's what you'll believe when you see Saweetie's rainbow hair at Coachella. "Powerpuff Core," the rapper's hairstylist, Jes Jewel, wrote on Instagram. "Painstakingly hand painted and so worth it," she added, showing an up-close shot of the vivid hair in all its glory.

The playful look featured a pastel pink wig that reached all the way down past Saweetie's waist, with a multicolor heart serving as the main focal point. The hair radiated outwards in various shades of blue, purple, orange, green, and pink, forming an eye-catching sunset worthy of the superpower sisters.

While Saweetie left most of her hair down and straight to show off all of Jewel's hard work, she styled the rest of it half-up in a small bubblegum pink topknot and side-swept bangs. She accessorized with matching "icy girl" rings and bright red stiletto nails, letting her hair blow in the wind on a carnival ride.

When she performed with Latto the following day, Saweetie traded her painted hair for equally long platinum blond waves and a sparkly Von Dutch baseball cap. Still, both looks were perfectly in line with her Y2K aesthetic: Saweetie often shows love to the nostalgic trend, wearing crimped hair with chunky highlights to the "Bel-Air" season two premiere earlier this year. More recently, she wore a bra top held together by bedazzled Hello Kitty charms.
