4 Reasons Nick Should Be the Next Bachelor

It's hard not to be happy for The Bachelorette's newly engaged couple, Kaitlyn and Shawn, because they look so damn happy together. Sadly, there's some collateral damage to their bliss, and his name is Nick Viall. Viall, who was a previous contestant on Andi Dorfman's season and then crashed this season because of his strong feelings for Kaitlyn, has been known as Shawn's most hated nemesis, and in the end, he made it to the final two, but he didn't get that all-important last rose. It was a heartbreaking, emotional finale and breakup scene and a hard pill to swallow when Nick was sent home a two-time runner-up for this show. Now, we know that Ben H. has the next spot as the Bachelor all but locked up, but we actually have a case for why Nick should actually get the spot.

Nick Really Needs a Win

After Nick became the guy who brought up sleeping with Bachelorette Andi Dorfman on live TV, he's had a less-than-stellar reputation, one he carried with him to this season of The Bachelorette, which he crashed. But as this season went on, Nick's reputation seemed unjust, as he charmed Kaitlyn and her family (even if he could never win over Shawn). But the real reason Nick should be the next Bachelor is that this guy desperately needs a happy ending. Twice he has been in the final two, and twice he has been rejected at the last minute. While it would make sense for Nick to leave this franchise and try to pretend it was all a bad dream he had twice, it would also be massively satisfying for viewers to get to see Nick have a happy ending.

He's Great For Drama

For a time, Shawn couldn't even say Nick's name, and the very thought of him made a room full of men gossip like teenagers. Nick is controversial just by being Nick, and if there's something that the Bachelor franchise loves, it's drama. Silver platter = delivered.

Nick Already Has a Built-In Fan Base

After two seasons on The Bachelorette, you would. Not to mention that we'd love to see his cute family finally get to see their boy happy.
