Anchorman: The Legend Continues is shaping up to be a star-studded affair! On set in Atlanta yesterday, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were armed with crowbars as they shot a fight scene with Sacha Baron Cohen while Liam Neeson and John C. Reilly posed with extras while holding swords and muskets. Meanwhile, Kirsten Dunst and Jim Carrey arrived on set to get ready for their cameos alongside the original Anchorman stars Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carell. This week's cast of characters aren't the only stars who will be appearing in the movie. Harrison Ford hit the set in March, when it was also confirmed that Nicole Kidman and Kristen Wiig will all be featured in guest roles for the comedy, which is slated to hit theaters later this year on Dec. 20.
Megan Fox transformed into an intrepid reporter when she shot several scenes for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Will Arnett in NYC yesterday. While the turtles themselves didn't make an appearance, Megan did jump on a trampoline, ride a bicycle, and get into an argument with Will's cameraman character. The fight was only for show, as the two joked around with Megan's sun-shielding umbrella after they wrapped the scene.
Megan originally dyed her hair red to play the famously auburn-haired character, but it looks like she's gone for a darker hue than when she first started filming.
Zac Efron unbuttoned his shirt and showed off his six-pack while filming Townies in LA yesterday. He got into the sports scenes with a few props including a basketball and baseball bat, but the real focus was on his tanned abs. Zac's been busy filming the college-set comedy since March, though his scenes haven't been all hard work. Zac kissed a costar during one rowdy take last month and has also sported a bathrobe and other costumes for the cameras. He did take a break from the on-set fun to promote a more serious project, At Any Price, at the Tribeca Film Festival after debuting the movie at the Venice Film Festival last year.
Leslie Mann stood up to Cameron Diaz when she filmed a fight scene with the actress in NYC yesterday for the pair's upcoming film, The Other Woman. The two actresses, both dressed in yellow, bumped chests and shouted at each other in front of an outdoor restaurant. The scene was almost as funny as the one that Cameron and Leslie filmed on Monday, which involved Leslie trying to control a huge dog while Cameron looked disinterested. Later that day, Cameron kissed Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in a car scene for the upcoming flick.
Cameron and Leslie were back to work after spending a glamorous night at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday. Cameron attended the event alongside designer Stella McCartney and Kristen Stewart while Leslie dropped by the bash with the duo's other costar, Kate Upton.
Cameron Diaz got to work on the set of her film The Other Woman with costars Leslie Mann and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau today in NYC. Cameron, who sported a sexy red dress, hopped into a sports car to share a passionate kiss with Nikolaj during the day of filming. Today was a busy day of work for Cameron, who wore a different ensemble for scenes with Leslie and another big costar, a large spotted dog, on set as well. Along with their canine pal, it was recently announced that Nicki Minaj was added to the cast, which also includes model Kate Upton.
Cameron showed a little more skin for today's session in front of the cameras after she bundled up against the Big Apple rain for filming last week. Cameron may be getting even more glamorous tonight if she attends the Met Gala like she did last year, when she walked the carpet in a sexy Stella McCartney gown. The annual bash takes place later today, and in honor of fashion's biggest night, we are taking a look back at the most unforgettable moments from the Met Gala in years past.
Ryan Gosling wasn't above getting dirty on the set of his directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster, in Detroit on Friday. He carried equipment with his crew and waded through mud while setting up a shot involving an ice cream truck. Last week, Ryan was on set in Detroit, where he worked with the film's star Christina Hendricks. His considerable muscles were a hot topic during that time as well since a new behind-the-scenes clip from his other project, Only God Forgives, showed Ryan going shirtless while boxing. The movie will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival later this month and open nationwide on July 19. Meanwhile, Ryan's How to Catch a Monster is slated to premiere in 2014.
George Clooney and an in-costume Matt Damon shared a laugh together on the set of The Monuments Men in Bad Grund, Germany, today. George has a good reason to be in a happy mood, as today marks his 52nd birthday. He didn't take any time off from work for his special day, and instead milled around the set with Matt and friend Grant Heslov in between shooting scenes. Yesterday, Matt and George shared a beer with friends outside their hotel in Ilsenburg. Matt is back to work on the World War II flick after taking a short break in mid-April to renew his vows to wife Luciana Damon, accept an award from Harvard, and promote his upcoming summer film, Elysium, in Mexico.
Both Matt and George have been working a lot over the past few months. The two may celebrate the completion of their latest project with a getaway to George's famous Lake Como estate in Italy — check out Matt, Brad Pitt, and more celebrities at George Clooney's house in Lake Como.
Celebrities made appearances on location all over the world for their big- and small-screen projects this week. Ryan Gosling got to work directing How to Catch a Monster in Detroit, while George Clooney kept up filming for The Monuments Men in Germany. Despite Reese Witherspoon's headline-making arrest, she was back in front of the cameras in Atlanta for The Good Lie, and in NYC, Allison Williams showed off her upper-body strength while working on season three of Girls. Ryan Gosling grinned while working on the Detroit set of How to Catch a Monster on Wednesday. He's on location getting ready for filming to begin on the thriller, which follows a single mom and her family as they are swept into a fantasy underworld. The project, also written by Ryan, puts him behind the camera as a director for the first time. His debut will star Christina Hendricks, who also made an appearance on set this week, as well as his real-life girlfriend, Eva Mendes, and Saoirse Ronan. Ryan himself won't be getting any screen time, since he declared in March that he needs a "break" from himself as much as "the audience does." He's not staying completely out of the spotlight, though, with Only God Forgives hitting theaters in July.
Lena Dunham got cozy with her costar Adam Driver while they filmed a scene for the third season of Girls in NYC. Adam tickled Lena and she returned the love by pecking him on the cheek after they also showed PDA on set during filming last week in Brooklyn. The other Girls cast members have been hard at work on the new season as well. Lena shot scenes with Allison Williams last week while wearing colorful frocks and a "birthday b*tch" hat, perhaps a nod to a special celebration in an upcoming episode.
In addition to working on the series, Lena's been busy mixing in with New York's glittering party scene, attending the Time 100 Gala last week and presenting at the 2013 Actors Fund's annual gala on Monday. She's also apparently searching for a new home and checked out a $4.45 million penthouse in Brooklyn over the weekend.
