See the First Picture From Sherlock's Christmas Special

Get excited, Sherlock fans — the Christmas special may not be airing until 2015, but the creators of the show have shared a first look at both Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes) and Martin Freeman (John Watson) from the new episode. Sue Vertue, a producer on the show and wife of cocreator Steven Moffat, was the first to share teases of the upcoming special, including a shot of the draft script written by Moffat and his fellow cocreator, Mark Gatiss (aka Mycroft Holmes). According to reports, the cast and crew won't begin filming on the special until early January, and the episode itself won't air in the UK until Christmas Day 2015. However, the cast and crew will also be working on the highly anticipated fourth season through 2015, meaning that more new episodes should be hitting the airwaves in 2016.
