Check Out Lollapalooza, Wherever You Are

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Sasquatch, and I'm excited to see what San Francisco does with Outside Lands, but in my mind the king of the Summer music festivals is still Lollapalooza.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Sasquatch, and I'm excited to see what San Francisco does with Outside Lands, but in my mind the king of the Summer music festivals is still Lollapalooza. Now in its fourth year in Chicago's Grant Park, the festival just keeps upping the ante: This year's schedule includes headliners Radiohead, Wilco, Rage Against the Machine, Kanye West, and Nine Inch Nails, along with a lot of relatively smaller bands that I'd love to see live: Love and Rockets, The National, Girl Talk, Explosions in the Sky, MGMT, and Mates of State, to name just a few.

Luckily, this year we can once again check out the festival from afar via the AT&T Blue Room. The site will be webcasting hours of Lolla shows each day this weekend, starting around 1:15 p.m. EDT each day.

Today's lineup includes Rogue Wave, The Kills, Bloc Party, and the Raconteurs. Saturday, the site will show performances by Margaret and the Nuclear So-So's, Duffy, DeVotchka, and Broken Social Scene, among others. And Sunday wraps up with broadcasts of Flogging Molly, Love and Rockets, and The National.

Anyone out there going to Lollapalooza? Or will you be watching from afar, too?

Are Big Music Festivals Worth the Money?

The full lineup for this summer's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago won't come out till Monday, but according to the Chicago Sun-Times, the major acts are biggies: Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, the Raconteurs, Wilco, and Kanye West will headline the main stages.

Other acts the Sun-Times confirmed include Gnarls Barkley, Broken Social Scene, Cat Power, and Grizzly Bear.

Though the list of artists has been kept under wraps, tickets have already been on sale for a while — with the current round of three-day passes priced at $190. That's a pile of money, but i's nothing compared to the whopping $269 it'll cost ya for three days at Coachella this month — or even the $225 fee for three days at this year's inaugural Outside Lands festival here in San Francisco.

Sure, you can see a lot of big-time bands for that money, and given the cost of individual concert tickets these days, maybe it's not so bad. But once you factor in travel and lodging, going to a music festival takes a lot of coin. Is it worth it?

Lollapalooza, the comeback kid of music festivals, kicks off its three-day reign in Chicago's Grant Park today. The lineup is pretty incredible this year, with big names like Pearl Jam and Daft Punk, legends like Patti Smith, and up-and-comers including Regina Spektor, Silversun Pickups and Cold War Kids. To say I'm jealous of those of you with tickets would be a gross understatement.

Luckily, those of us who couldn't make it to Chicago this year have a chance to experience some of the Lolla magic for ourselves courtesy of the AT&T Blue Room. The site will be broadcasting several of the performances live each day from roughly 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Central time, starting today.

The Blue Room won't cover everything, but it's a pretty good cross-section of the artists. Today's group includes Ted Leo and the Pharmacists at 1 p.m. Central, Sparklehorse at 5:30, and The Black Keys at 9:30. Saturday's Blue Room lineup includes The Hold Steady and Ben Harper, while Sunday's Webcasts include Lupe Fiasco and Amy Winehouse.

Still, there's no substitute for being there in person, so if any of you are headed to Lollapalooza this year, please report back!

Outdoor music festival season is well under way, with Coachella, Glastonbury, and Bonnaroo already wrapped, and Lollapalooza up next.

Outdoor music festival season is well under way, with Coachella, Glastonbury, and Bonnaroo already wrapped, and Lollapalooza up next. So why am I talking about music festivals and not leaving that stuff to Buzz? Concerts can be as much about fashion as the music - as you all know!

I'm going to a big outdoor show this month and I was hoping you could inspire some cool and dance-ready looks. I started you off with this Striped Fedora, $9.99 (originally $24), perfect for getting into the groove! To see all the outdoor concert fab finds go here.

Let's see what you all came up with!

Oh! Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.

Look #1, found by sarahstar35 is total rock star material: she will blend in just fine with the milling crowds at that outdoor concert - especially with those aviators and the cute guitar watch she picked out!
