Beheading, de-virginization, and Jaime Lannister's butt: it's an exciting episode of Game of Thrones this week! We visit with a lot of characters, most notably Jon Snow, Jaime, Arya, Robb, and Tyrion. Jaime is finally getting a little bit of a reprieve from his torture, and Jon Snow throws his Night's Watch vows to the wind. There are some loose ends from last week's episode that I'm curious about (like the aftermath of the carnage at Craster's), but I'm still satisfied and entertained by this week's events.

This season feels like it's moving along swiftly, and this week has a lot going on, with emotional moments and action scenes, as well as lots of plotting for the future. Ready to go over the things we're still thinking about after the credits? Just keep reading.

I know a lot of other things happen on Game of Thrones this week, but I can't stop thinking about that final scene. But before that unforgettable moment, we check in with a lot of characters, like Jaime and Brienne, Jon Snow, Tyrion, and Daenerys. While Tyrion gets a new (but not great) title, Daenerys builds up her army by sacrificing something dear to her, and Jon and his Wilding companions come upon a grisly scene.

Game of Thrones season three isn't holding back on the graphic imagery, and this week is a good example of that — it's both violent and sexual, and there are a few moments we need to talk about. To get to them, just keep reading.

If you were disappointed (like I was) that core Game of Thrones characters like Bran, Arya, and Jaime were missing from the season premiere, then chances are good that you were happy with the second episode. Not only do we catch up with these missed characters, but we also meet a few new faces, like Jojen and Meera Reed, Beric Dondarrion, and Lady Olenna.

Though this episode isn't packed with game changers, there's a healthy dose of character development as well as a few hints regarding what's to come. We all knew this was coming: though it just returned this week for a third season, Game of Thrones has already been renewed for season four. HBO announced the pickup after Sunday's premiere pulled in a record number of viewers. The fourth installment will be another 10-episode season, and given that the current season is following only half of George R. R. Martin's novel A Storm of Swords, season four will likely cover the second half of the book.
