Emma, Daniel, and Rupert Pose Together at Their Final Harry Potter Premiere in NYC
Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, and Emma Watson stuck together on the red carpet at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 in NYC this afternoon. Emma got gorgeous in a strapless Bottega Veneta dress, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Giuseppe Zanotti heels, and dramatic eye makeup, while Rupert and Daniel both looked dapper in suits and ties. The trio made their first appearance for the movie at last week's London premiere and followed up the excitement with a star-studded Harry Potter afterparty. The costars then made the trip to the East Coast for the film's press junket, and their leading lady continued press when Emma Watson stopped by The Late Show in a sexy Balmain mini before arriving at this evening's main event. We were on the red carpet to chat with Emma, Daniel, and Rupert on our live Harry Potter red-carpet feed, which you can watch back through now! There was plenty of energy at the Lincoln Center with stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and her son James Wilkie stepping out to see the movie. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and the extended cast of Harry Potter came together in London's Trafalgar Square today to premiere the final installment of the saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Emma arrived in a beautiful floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown and raced over to greet fans and sign autographs before taking her place on the red carpet. Her best friends in the film, Rupert and Daniel, followed closely behind, also thanking fans and posing for pictures. The principle cast took the stage with J.K. Rowling and spoke to the audience of millions watching across the globe. Daniel first thanked fans and the cast and went on to say, "This isn't the end as fans will carry this story with them through the rest of their lives."
Emma then took to the podium and professed her love for her costars and especially Rupert and Daniel, saying, "Dan didn't get lucky, you were and are the perfect Harry and will be forever" and thanked "Rupert for making me laugh, I'll miss you so much," then broke down into tears before thanking J.K. for playing such a "great role model" in her life. Rupert was the final of the trio to take the mic, saying a simple "I love you" to the fans and crew and thanking J.K for everything she's done "for ginger people." It was a day full of mixed emotions for all of those involved with the franchise, and J.K. even joked, "I should write another one!" before wrapping up the event with her final words, saying, "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."
