I'm a guy who usually stays away from romantic movies and moments, but one that gets me is in The Cutting Edge when Sweeney and Kelly are turning around and around just as New Year's hits and the two of them meet between the lit sparkler. There's so much tension between them throughout the whole movie, and it's so well-built to that moment.

I realize that you are trying to skew young here, but I personally believe one of the most romantic moments in film was Katharine Hepburn telling Henry Fonda that he was her " knight in shining armor..." in a scene from ON GOLDEN POND.

i'm glad someone mentioned pride an predjudice! that movie is on all the time and i ALWAYS get so excited when mr darcy and elizabeth share a look/touch/moment. you can just feel the longing! i love the scene w/ the swans in the notebook, the home movie that adam sandler makes for drew in 50 first dates, and finally the hair washing scene in out of africa...gosh, i'm such a sap!!!
