She meets a guy there, but then steals some coins from a special fountain which leads her to be pursued rather avidly by a group of lovesick men. Kristen Bell is just too gosh-darn adorable and endearing. The premise of her upcoming movie When in Rome is so silly and yet, I already might love it because she is so friggin' cute. In the romantic comedy she plays Beth, an ambitious New Yorker who, when in Rome, takes a few coins from a "fountain of love." Suddenly, the men who used those coins to make wishes magically fall in love with her. Craziness ensues, of course, when Beth must deal with all these lovesick puppies - and the one handsome guy she might actually be able to love in return.

When in Rome opens January 29, 2010. I, too, might just be smitten with Bell, which could be coloring my opinion of the trailer, so to check it out for yourself, read more.

When With Shaq, Josh Just Doesn't Measure Up

Cutie Josh Duhamel stands tall whether he's next to his on-screen love Kristen Bell or off-screen fiancée Fergie, but he had nothing on Shaquille O'Neal yesterday at the set of When In Rome. We don't know if Shaq was just checking out filming in the East Village or if he has a cameo role in the film, but wouldn't it be great if he was one of the guys chasing after Kristen in the movie? Now that would be a fun pairing.

Josh and his lady love Fergie have been in NYC for the last few weeks since their Bahamian beach vacation. Fergie has been busy performing and partying while Josh has been hard at work on set. When in NYC, Josh and Kristen Do as the Romans Do

Josh Duhamel and Kristen Bell made for a pretty cute pair on the set of When in Rome in NYC yesterday. In the film, Kristen's character has to choose between a mob of guys who pursue her after she steals coins from a fountain in Italy, and it looks like Josh is one of the eligible bachelors. He and Fergie are one of our favorite celebrity couples, but he may want to re-think things now that he's spending so much time with Kristen. Apparently she has a bit of a kinky side, claiming that she still has her Catholic school uniform stowed away for her wedding night. Then again, Fergs probably has a few surprises of her own in store for Josh.

Having recently taken on Gossip Girl books and Dancing with the Stars, The New Yorker now turns its attention to The Hills.
300 director Zack Snyder is set to direct an animated film adaptation of Guardians of Ga'Hoole, writes ComingSoon.
Variety reports that the romantic comedy HangingOutHookingUpFallingInLove has just added an ensemble cast which includes Janeane Garofalo, Jenna Elfman and Rita Rudner, among others.
Kristen Johnston will join Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Candice Bergen in Bride Wars, writes Hollywood Reporter.

Dennis Hopper Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer

Dennis Hopper has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. His manager Sam Maydew said the actor was being treated at the University of Southern California through a "special programme". When asked about the prognosis, he said: "We're hoping for the best."

The 73-year-old was hospitalised at the end of September after suffering from stomach ailments amd developing flu-like symptoms. He was able to attend his book launch in Rome last week, but was unable to attend an exhibition of his of artwork and photography at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne.

Dennis is cancelling all travel plans in order to focus on treatment. Our thoughts are with Dennis and his family.

Inspired: Tufted Velvet at the International Rome Film Festival

When I spotted this picture of director Laurent Tirard at the International Rome Film Festival, my eyes immediately wandered to the gorgeous tufted velvet cubes to the director's right. They look so luxe that I immediately wanted to add one to my own home.

Tufted velvet combines two sumptuous decorating ideas: that of tufting, which is achieved when upholsterers thread through layers of fabric and secure the ends of the thread with a knot or button, and velvet, which is one of the richest fabrics used throughout history.

Tufted velvet is all over the decorating world, and I'm particularly smitten with this Scandinavian chaise ($7,995). This gorgeous mid-century piece features a tufted purple velvet cushion suspended on a rosewood frame. While I could never splurge on this piece, a girl can dream, right?
