Lauren Conrad was up early this morning to chat with the ladies of The View and promote LA Candy. When asked about Spencer's apology on The Hills, Lauren revealed that it was staged and she wasn't actually on the other end of the phone call. In the past she's said that the show's producers were pushing a Heidi reconciliation on her, and it's definitely not the first time we've heard about scenes being fake.

The head honchos over at Twitter — co-founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone — recently appeared on The View to discuss all things related to Twitter. First things first, they denied all rumors that there's a possible Apple/Microsoft/Google buyout in their future, stating that they'd rather fix their current flaws before passing the baton onto another company. Lily Allen is continuing her US tour at the moment and has started making some appearances on more American TV shows to promote her album and shows. This week she's appeared on The View — a show similar to the UK's Loose Women — to talk about her spats with paparazzi, her outspoken nature and her career. Check out her appearance under the cut!

The View was filmed at The Walt Disney Studios in LA this week, and every morning, a different Disney character escorted the ladies on stage. This of course sparked conversations and nostalgic memories about the women's favorite fairy tales from childhood, but it also brought up some food for thought. Though the stories of Bambi, Pinocchio, and Cinderella are all moral tales, their lessons can be both sad and scary, and they also have the ability to send the wrong message to kids — as we all know, not every tale ends in happily ever after.

Dev Patel has really been thrust into the spotlight lately with the enormous success of his movie Slumdog Millionaire, directed by Danny Boyle. The eighteen year old has been making the rounds of American TV shows charming the ladies of The View (which is kind of like Loose Women), as well as appearing on one of my favourite TV shows, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
If you haven't already been charmed by him, then check out these videos and see just how lovely the ex-Skins star really is.

It's time to let you know all the new releases that I recommend this week! First up I have a couple of DVDs for you — Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla came out yesterday and I very much enjoyed this fun-filled crime caper. It has some amusing performances in it, especially from Gerard Butler and face to watch Tom Hardy.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck announced on yesterday's episode of The View that she's expecting her third child, but watching her break this news, I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable when she went into detail about how her pregnancy was a surprise. She was honest about the fact that she didn't know she was "knocked up" for almost two months, and while she seems to be excited about the new addition to her family, I found myself saying TMI! I might be the odd one out here, so tell me, where do you all stand on announcing that your pregnancy was a surprise?

Rumor has it that IL Gov. Rod Blagojevich wants to appear on The View to tell his side of the story. The governor's public image is badly bruised right now, thanks to federal corruption charges, impeachment by the Illinois House, and an impending trial in the Illinois Senate.
