In this scene from The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, older Pippa, played by Robin Wright Penn, swapped out her stylish ensemble for a more subdued one, pairing a baby blue v-neck sweater with khaki pants and beige driving shoes. Her hair is conservatively tamed and pulled back, showing off her classic pearl earrings. If this look is more your style, shop these items now.

The young Pippa Lee, played by Blake Lively, looks lovingly at then-boyfriend Herb Lee as they share a meal together in this scene from The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. The leading ladies of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee hit the red carpet in NYC on Saturday evening. Blake Lively didn't address rumors she's going into business with Victoria Beckham as she smiled for the cameras, while her boyfriend Penn Badgley mingled with fellow Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford behind the scenes. Robin Wright Penn, meanwhile, showed off her new dark hairdo as she posed alongside Julianne Moore and Keanu Reeves.

Though the stars of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee were walking the red carpet for the film months ago, the movie still won't hit US theaters until Nov. 27. From the trailer, it doesn't look half-bad, and it features some well-known actors like Robin Wright Penn, Julianne Moore, Alan Arkin, Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, and Blake Lively.

Winona Ryder stars on the cover of the latest issue of Elle magazine, and inside she talks to the mag about her new movie The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee (out July 10) as well as her childhood, acting, beauty and what she describes as her "extra large breakdown". Here's a few extracts from her interview:
- On being bullied:"We only shopped at the Salvation Army, and I would get these three-piece, 1970s little boy suits. I had really short hair, and the third day of seventh grade, these kids basically jumped me in the hall because they thought I was a gay boy, and they roughed me up… I think when that happened, I kind of went into a movie in my head because I couldn’t deal with what was happening.

I've been looking ahead to what we could read together in our PopUK Book Club. Several film adaptations are coming up, so I've selected a range of such titles as possible future reads. Some have been published recently while some are classics, and different genres are represented, from the short story to children's fiction to chick lit.

Guess whose newest movie role is looking very different from the one she plays on TV? Blake Lively went from playing an Upper East Side princess on Gossip Girl to a more sulky and way less fashionable character on the set of her new film, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee in Connecticut yesterday. We’re so used to seeing Blake in a droolworthy wardrobe from her show and when casually strolling the city with Penn that she is almost unrecognizable in these pictures.

There's nothing I like more than seeing Sophia Bush step outside the fashion box. Over the weekend, the actress attended The Private Lives of Pippa Lee premiere in NYC looking glam galactic in a long sleeve minidress by Helmut Lang. The abstract powder print is so art nouveau, and I like how she tempered it with sleek suede booties.

Blake Lively's February cover of Esquire is out, coinciding perfectly with the news that she won the female lead opposite Ryan Reynolds in The Green Lantern. There was a rather public casting process for the coveted role, with established actresses like Jennifer Garner, Diane Kruger, and Keri Russell allegedly also in the running.
Blake Lively became a household name due to her small screen work in Gossip Girl, though she's starting to cross over into major film territory with her latest role and appearances in The Town and The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.
