Yahoo! Movies Takes You on a Location Tour

The Heartbreak Kid definitely did not wow me as a movie, but I have to admit there are some beautiful settings where the mediocre setups and mildly amusing situations take place. Now, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies "Movie Traveler," we can find out more about the lovely locales featured in current movies. So far, we can check out the locations used in The Heartbreak Kid, from San Francisco all the way down to Cabo San Lucas. MTV personality Quddus provides a good-looking, if a little annoying narration as he guides us along the West coast, visiting signature spots used in the movie. Scenes from the film itself play between Quddus' adventures. Luckily, you don't have to have loved the movie to get a kick out of the places Quddus explores.

Sugar Bits - The Game Plan Scores Again

The Game Plan came in first at the box office for the second week in a row this weekend. Ben Stiller's The Heartbreak Kid came in number two, only taking in a heartbreaking $14 million. - BuzzSugar

Box Office: It Pays to Have a Game Plan

The Farrelly Brothers and Ben Stiller are left broken hearted today after their bawdy comedy The Heartbreak Kid failed to draw in the masses at the theaters. Taking home just $14 million its opening weekend, The Heartbreak Kid came in second place at the box office, behind the family friendly Game Plan starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The Game Plan is enjoying its second weekend of being No. 1 at the box office after its successful opening weekend.

The Kingdom continued to do well with action flick fans, coming in third place with $9.3 million. Resident Evil: Extinction came in fourth place with newcomer The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising following up in No. 5. The George Clooney legal thriller Michael Clayton didn't thrill a whole lot of moviegoers; the movie came in twenty-first place with $704,000 for the weekend.

The Heartbreak Kid: Middle-of-the-Road Comedic Fluff

When it comes to The Heartbreak Kid, here's the bottom line: If you loved Along Came Polly, chances are you'll probably enjoy The Heartbreak Kid. The two movies are very similar: Ben Stiller plays the lead and yet he's not the most interesting character by a long shot. The female characters are far more compelling than he is and the male peripheral characters are way funnier. The premise includes comical misunderstandings and amusing misadventures. It's not bad. It's not exactly charming, either.

Stiller plays Eddie Cantrow, a commitmentphobe who meets Lila (Malin Akerman), the woman of his dreams, and impulsively marries her. While honeymooning in Cabo, however, Eddie sees another side of his new bride and discovers that she's a wild child with a sketchy past and an insatiable desire for rough sex. Moral of that story: talk to your fiancee about things like money and sex before taking the plunge. Seems easy enough. Anyway, in Cabo Eddie meets a real dreamgirl, Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), who is vacationing with her family. They hit it off, but Eddie refrains from telling Miranda and her fam that he's married. The script, a remake of Neil Simon's 1972 version, is actually somewhat clever - some offensive fat jokes and the implication that illegal immigration is laugh-out-loud hilarious (or at least it is when a white guy does it!) notwithstanding. Many of the characters are great, and the actors playing them are even better. Rob Corddry, Malin Akerman and Jerry Stiller (playing, adorably, Eddie's dad) particularly stand out.

My biggest problem with the whole thing is Ben Stiller who, coasting on his former success with similar fare like There's Something About Mary, seems to think that he can now phone it in and audiences will stupidly gobble up anything he does. He doesn't bother with things like changing his expression (ever) or putting any sort of earnestness into his delivery. He seems to shrug at us, "Why bother?" He gets paid either way. Stiller aside, however, as yet another Farrelly Brothers comedy, the movie gets the job done.

Ben Stiller Premieres The Heartbreak Kid

Last night in LA Ben Stiller and lots of cute ladies came out for the premiere of his latest comedy, The Heartbreak Kid. Christine Taylor looked beautiful in basic black along with her husband's costars Malin Akerman and Michelle Monaghan while Emmanuelle wins best dressed for standing out from the pack in her cute nude mini dress. The film reunites Stiller with The Farrelly Brothers (hello Something About Mary). Ben's been busy directing Tropic Thunder in Hawaii and just recast Owen's role with Matthew McConaughey. Ben recently talked to Ellen about his good friend and said, "He's doing really well. "I sort of like to protect his privacy, 'cause I feel like it's his own thing. But he's a really good friend of mine. He's an incredible guy and I wish him as everybody does, all the best."

Fall Movie Preview: Funny Ha-Ha

Well it's post-Labor Day September, folks, so the summertime movie season is officially over. Now we have a whole new crop of films to check out in the coming chillier months, so in preparation for that, I'm giving you little glimpses of this fall and winter's must-see movies with my Fall Movie Preview series. Today's roundup includes the season's comedies that will hopefully be less funny-awkward and more funny-ha-ha.

Be Kind Rewind
While I think Jack Black's movies can be pretty hit-or-miss, the trailer for Be Kind Rewind made me laugh out loud. This was also due to Mos Def's natural comedic charm, however, so if this film is successful when it opens December 21, it will definitely be a team win. The story follows video store employees Jerry (Black) and Mike (Mos Def) whose videos all become erased. To appease the customers, the duo shoot brief, low-budget versions of the original movies which go on to become hugely popular in the town.

Run, Fat Boy, Run
Simon Pegg is hilarious. Hank Azaria is hilarious. Michael Ian Black is hilarious. And David Schwimmer is... the guy who played Ross on "Friends." In all seriousness, this movie looks promising if only because of the bizarre collection of people who worked on it: Pegg stars in the movie (that Michael Ian Black wrote and Schwimmer directed) as a hapless dude who leaves his pregnant fiancee (Thandie Newton) at the altar. Years later when he realizes she was the love of his life, he decides to woo her away from her new man (Azaria) by running his first marathon. Check out the very funny trailer. Run, Fat Boy, Run opens October 26.

Walk Hard
This summer has trained us to regard anything Judd Apatow touches as a priceless gem, though Walk Hard, a spoof on the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line, looks a little iffier than some of Apatow's more recent successes. The good thing is, Jenna Fischer stars as the June Carter-Cash-type character opposite John C. Reilly. You can make up your mind about Walk Hard if you check out the trailer. The comedy opens December 21.

The Brothers Solomon
I love me some Will Arnett, so I can't wait to see The Brothers Solomon in which Arnett stars alongside Will Forte, Kristen Wiig and - again - Jenna Fischer. The two Wills play brothers who vow to produce a grandchild for their dying father, no matter what it takes. The preview features some great moments, so check that out before The Brothers Solomon hits theaters this Friday September 7.

The Heartbreak Kid
Oh, Ben Stiller... will the dorky-cute movie characters you play ever find love? Stiller is back to doing the rom-com thing in The Heartbreak Kid which finds him gray-haired and impulsively marrying "the perfect woman" - despite hardly knowing her. While on their honeymoon, he discovers there's much more than meets the eye with his new lady, and simultaneously regrets his marital choice while meeting the real woman of his dreams. The kid starts breaking hearts October 5.

Mr. Woodcock
Admittedly, I'm not sure how great this comedy looks from the trailer, so I'm hoping it proves me wrong. Susan Sarandon plays Beverly who is about to remarry. To her son John's (Sean William Scott) dismay, however, her husband-to-be is John's former gym coach (played by Billy Bob Thornton) who made his life hell. John resolves to prevent the union at all costs. Oh, and the gym teacher's name is Mr. Woodcock. Get it? It sounds phallic. Hopefully there's more to the jokes than just that when the movie opens September 14.

Moving McAllister
The trailer for this weird little indie comedy didn't exactly make me fall down laughing, but it looks sweet and silly nonetheless. Mila Kunis, Jon Heder and Ben Gourley star in this road trip movie in which Gourley plays a straight-laced corporate guy who goes on a journey with the free-spirited Rick (Heder) and Michelle (Kunis) and learns how to loosen up. Moving McAllister hits theaters September 14.

It may not be coming out until October, but the trailer for the Farrelly brothers' next movie The Heartbreak Kid recently hit the Web and has started to stir up some buzz. Ben Stiller is back to doing adult comedy again, and it looks like he's matured a bit lately. Actually, he looks a little tired. He plays commitment-phobic Eddie who decides to suddenly take the plunge and marry Lila (Malin Akerman), who seems like the perfect woman. Of course, nobody's perfect, though, and Eddie starts to discover his dream girl is more of a nightmare. Rob Corddry plays Eddie's supportive friend, which is awesome. Glee-ful Highlights and Video From Episode "Throwdown"

This week on Glee, we find out what happens when two teachers who can't stand each other stop being polite and start gettin' real. It doesn't take very long for Sue and Will to start arguing over how to direct the glee club (even fighting in their voiceovers), and Sue succeeds in turning the kids against each other in the process. Will's problems start to affect his life at home as Terri is still struggling to keep her pregnancy a secret (with the help of her wacky sister).

Now would be a good time to enter my Glee giveaway for a chance to hang out with one of the cast members, but if you'd rather dive into all the performances and drama, just read more.

One of my favorite performances this week is when all the kids sing "Ride With Me" as a group - even though they're not supposed to be seen together. I kinda loved that we get to hear them actually singing freestyle instead of the usual prerecorded in the studio stuff.
Sue has her hilarious array of one-liners as usual and wastes no time getting all offensive and dividing the club into "Sue's Kids" (aka the minorities) and handing over the rest of the students to Will. The chain of events are typical right up to the end, when Will finally gets through to her and they call a truce of sorts. But how long will that last?
Speaking of truces, the peace between Rachel and Quinn is already broken within minutes of this episode, and surprise - it's all about Finn! I was glad that Quinn finally gets her own solo while standing up for herself to Finn. I know we're supposed to hate her and root for Rachel instead, but she's growing on me - and I kinda think she deserves a better boyfriend. On the other hand, naming the baby Drizzle is kind of hilarious.
Quinn gets all worked up when Rachel and Finn are selected to perform "No Air," but I wasn't really feelin' the chemistry on this one. Need a refresher? Check out the video below.

Emma is nowhere to be found this week, but there's plenty of tension between Terri and Will to fill in the gaps. Terri blackmails her doctor into conducting a fake sonogram for Will's benefit, which reminded me just how ridiculous that entire storyline is. (Really? We're supposed to believe that Will has never seen Terri change her clothes since she started wearing that fake bump?) It was almost too heartbreaking when Will's eyes well up at the end. Can't the truth just come out already?
Sidenote: is anyone else ready for the inevitable episode where Tina starts to gain confidence and overcome her stutter? It's a bit of overkill at this point.
Sue drops a big bomb at the end of the episode when she nails Quinn for being pregnant. (Oh. Snap.) I have to admit that while Avril Lavigne isn't my favorite artist, I did like the spin the club put on her "Keep Holding On." Or maybe I'm just a sucker for when they perform in matching outfits.
