Box Office: Quantum Leaps Into First

The new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, leaped to box office success in its opening weekend, coming in at No. 1 with an estimated $70.4 million. This was a record breaker, in fact: According to Variety, it was "the biggest opening ever for a James Bond title and a major victory for a film franchise nearly half a century old."

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa came in at No. 2, followed by Role Models, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and Changeling rounding out the top five.

Another movie earning a bunch of buzz, Slumdog Millionaire, also did well over the weekend in a limited opening. I'm excited to see that one myself. Did you head out to see Bond? What did you think?

Fab Blab: Angelina Jolie Talks About Changeling Costumes

If you haven't seen Changeling yet, I highly recommend you check it out. The Eastwood directed gut-wrenching story features a mother named Christine, played by Angelina Jolie, who loses her son. Tragic and touching. But enough with the spoilers; check out what Angelina recently said about the cool '20s era costumes she wore for the film.

"The wardrobe choices are really the first steps toward Christine," Jolie says. "There is something about the style of clothes of the Twenties that is very sweet. They make you feel a little softer and just so delicate, hidden behind it all. It helped me very much."

Changeling costume designer, Deborah Hopper states: "It's always a challenge to try to find vintage clothes. Especially with the earlier periods, because these fabrics simply don't last; they fall apart," she explains. "So we went everywhere around this country and then some. We did come up with enough clothes, but barely." It looks like all of her hard work paid off - the clothes look great!

First Glance: Changeling - See It or Skip It?

In Clint Eastwood's Changeling, Angelina Jolie plays Christine Collins, a mother who has lost her son.

Corrupt police officers consider the case closed when a boy shows up claiming to be her son, but isn't, and Christine must then fight them in her search for answers. It looks like a pretty heavy movie, but this trailer has certainly interested me in it.

Changeling screened at Cannes this year, and the movie will be out on 28 November in the UK.

Tokyo Gets Another Dose of Angelina's Smiles

Angelina Jolie looked radiant as she stepped out on stage to promote Changeling in Tokyo earlier today. She's been supporting Brad for his Benjamin Button premieres lately, but now it's her turn to work the crowds. Brad recently spoke about how the couple hasn't celebrated their multiple award nominations yet, saying "Man, we're too busy dealing with Kleenexes and diapers and getting everyone fed to really celebrate. We'll do that next year." With such a gorgeous family, it's totally understandable the Jolie-Pitts have a different set of priorities, but hopefully they can find some time to celebrate if they head back to the states in time for the Oscars luncheon early next week.

Angelina Smiles With Brad but Gets Sad About Her Mom

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stepped out side-by-side in London today for a Changeling photo call. Angelina opened up a bit about her mother during the press conference, a subject that got her choked up (check out the video after the jump). She said, "She was really sweet and was never angry - she couldn't swear to save her life. But when it came to her kids, she was really fierce and so this is very much her, her story. She was the woman I related to, who had that elegance and strength through just knowing what was right." Angelina also said that there are more kids on the way and that she spent most of the past year "in pajamas and coloring." Things will probably only get busier for the Jolie-Pitts as Brad continues filming Inglorious Bastards and starts promoting The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but so far it looks like he and Angelina are doing a good job meeting up all over the world.

Angelina Glows as the Jolie-Pitts Take Over the Big Apple

Angelina took the three oldest Jolie-Pitts out to Lee's Art Shop in Manhattan before meeting up with Brad for dinner at Nobu and her premiere of Changeling this weekend. Angelina looked stunning showing off her post-baby body for her first red carpet appearance since the twins were born. Angelina also showed off her two latest tattoos on her arm - the coordinates to Knox and Vivienne's birthplace. While Angelina said she and Brad would eventually have more kids, she did admit they were planning to wait a little while. She also discussed how it felt strange walking the carpet and being sleep deprived, all while letting us know everyone was doing great.

Angie the Changeling Still Looks the Same

Angelina put on her red lips and fur coat once again to work on The Changeling with Clint in LA yesterday. She looks great in character, but we have to say that we'd rather see Angie and Mad heading to school every day (or buying toys!) than on the set. That's why we were excited to see a little bit of variety - Buzz got ahold of some of the stills from her upcoming movie Wanted. They look pretty awesome, so check them out here.

Angelina is an Awarded Changeling

Just like that, Angelina is on the set of her new movie, The Changeling in Long Beach, CA. Not a lot of downtime with the Jolie-Pitts, eh? She flashed a big smile on set as her director Clint Eastwood (and his trusty parrot?) watched on. The movie is based on a true story, about a woman whose son is abducted and when the cops return him to her, she is convinced it's a different kid. Angie looks natural in her roaring '20s garb, especially since she's really been working the Old Hollywood vibe recently. Who knows how long the J-Ps will be around in LA, but award season is already proving to have a draw for the accomplished (and well reviewed in 2007) couple. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced that Angelina would be receiving this year's Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for A Mighty Heart. I have a feeling this won't be the only congrats we hand to the Jolie-Pitts this season.

Hoping to catch a few more Oscar nominated flicks, I watched Changeling over the weekend. In the intense film, Angelina Jolie plays Christine Collins, a woman whose son goes missing and her subsequent struggle with the police department who replaces him with another boy. As a mom, the movie hit incredibly close to home. Though it was an incredibly moving story, I found myself closing my eyes and covering my ears during certain graphic scenes. Do you find some things harder to digest since having children?
