Rocket Science is the kind of movie that people, including me, will describe as charming or endearing. The problem with the film — the first narrative feature from Oscar-nominated director Jeffrey Blitz, who directed Spellbound — is that it's not quite as charming as it thinks it is.
Rocket Science centers on Hal Hefner (Reece Thompson), a meek high schooler with a serious stutter and a wrecked home life.

Not long ago I watched Rocket Science for a second time and was struck all over again by how superbly Reece Thompson (pictured, right) captures the whole Awkward Teen thing. In Assassination of a High School President, he's at it again — though this time his character is ever so slightly cooler and more self-assured than Rocket Science's Hal. In Assassination he plays a sophomore high school student who finds himself teaming up with an unlikely friend, popular girl Francesca Fachini (Mischa Barton), to solve a case of stolen SAT exams.

Zac Efron is on the cover of May's GQ as he continues to get out there and promote 17 Again before its release this weekend. Fresh off hosting SNL, Zac is continuing in his quest to transition from teen idol to serious actor. He sat down with the magazine to discuss mature topics like meeting Hollywood A-listers, marriage, and what he was like as a kid — all while using some colorful language.

The newest round of casting news includes a new role for a former 90210-er and a project that could put Freddie Prinze Jr. back on TV at the same time as wife Sarah Michelle Gellar, so read on!
- Freddie Prinze Jr. is hopping to an ABC comedy pilot called No Heroics, which is based on a comic series and revolves around a team of B-list superheroes living in our world. Prinze's role is Bradley (superhero name: Ultimatum), the tormenter of the B-list squad's leader: "An A-list superhero, Bradley is a handsome, cocky and egotistical Alpha male who has all the women and fame and money a guy could want."

If you thought 8tracks was a sweet site, head on over to Lala where you'll find over six million songs to play. The way it works is, you sign up for an account and create your own online playlist (which you can access from anywhere).

Water is a basic necessity to all life, and the havoc we wreak on this planet eventually shows up in our water. The latest culprit is rocket fuel, or perchlorate, which is also used in fertilizer, fireworks and road flares. (What rocket fuel has to do with growing food is a mystery to me as well.)
Dangerous levels of perchlorate have been found in 395 public water sites, in 35 different states.
