Natalie Portman unveiled her short film directorial debut Eve at the Venice Film Festival yesterday. The 17 minute short marks the first of two projects she has directed, including part of the collaborative movie New York, I Love You. When I met her back in February I was struck by her intelligence, and she looked stunning over the weekend when she picked up a humanitarian award, as well as working both casual and formal styles in Venice yesterday.

Shia LaBeouf, Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson, Natalie Portman, Julie Christie, Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci, John Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Kevin Bacon, Ethan Hawke... OK, looking down the enormous cast list and director list for New York, I Love You there must be someone you're drawn to seeing in this movie.
Its predecessor Paris, Je T'aime was a sweet collection of short films, each set in a different area of the city, and this one looks set to be similar.

I really enjoyed the movie Paris, je t'aime, partially because so many of the actors in it are wonderful, but also because I like the format of it. It's a bunch of short stories, each one set in a different neighborhood of Paris. Now there's a trailer for a follow-up to Paris, je t'aime, focusing this time on the romance/craziness/magic of the Big Apple: New York, I Love You.

Orlando Bloom happily hung out with a few of his fans after a long day of shooting New York, I Love You yesterday. He was looking a little sleepy, though it sounds like he's getting in some good yoga sessions with Miranda to keep his energy up. Orlando may only have to shoot a short film right now, but luckily he might already have his next project waiting for him when he's done on the east coast.

Rachel Bilson was back to her natural little self enjoying the Spring weather in Manhattan while filming New York, I Love You today. While she was kind of unrecognizable in the blond wig, Bella wants to know which hair color you like better on her? This time Rachel and her man Hayden were joined on set by Andy Garcia.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen looked right at home filming New York, I Love You in Manhattan yesterday. Considering they got together filming Jumper, these two are no strangers to on-set couple time. They look like such the movie stars in their directors' chairs and umbrella to shade them from the sun.

Orlando Bloom and Christina Ricci are the latest actors to be spotted filming New York, I Love You — seriously, who isn't in this movie — yesterday in Central Park. Orlando was all wrapped up in his big coat and hat looking a little Derelicte chic while Christina kept warm just by standing next to his hotness. Between Bilson, Shia, Natalie on screen and Scarlett's directorial debut (just to name a few) the expectation will be high when this movie hits the big screen.

Shia LaBeouf hit an all-time low on the hair meter yesterday, but don't worry — it wasn't his own doing. The star got suited up and gelled down for his newest film, New York, I Love You. We've already seen Scarlett and Natalie working on their respective shorts for the collaborative film, and Shia is just one of the many big stars who recently signed on to be part of the project.

Many a filmmaker has made New York City a muse over the years, and some have even fashioned entire careers around a kind of ode to the Big Apple — Woody Allen, for example, or the makers of Sex and the City. Now the city is getting some serious love as dozens of stars and filmmakers begin production on a film anthology called New York, I Love You (not to be confused with I Love New York, mind you).
Based on a similar project called Paris, je t'aime that's part of an emerging franchise of "love" movies, the anthology will consist of a series of film shorts that will be written, directed and performed by some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
