This is one of the worst experiences of this Momma's Boys contestant's life. (Starving folks and people in war torn nations are all collectively rolling their eyes.) What is it, you say? Well, you'll hear it from her like a bazillion times, but it seems that this psycho went through all this trouble to grab her 15 minutes of narcissistic fame, and she didn't even get a date. Did you hear that? Did. Not. Even. Get. A. Date. Things could have been worse, Cara. You could have broken a nail!

First Look: Momma's Boys

So far, most of what Ryan Seacrest has touched has turned to entertainment gold - but will that be the case for Momma's Boys? The Seacrest-produced reality show, which is basically The Bachelor if the guys' moms were in the house, too, starts airing Dec. 16.

From the looks of the first clips, it's going to be a doozy. There's a lot of dramatic "Whose love will reign supreme - the girls . . . or the moms?" narration and scenes with crying moms telling their sons that none of the girls could ever be good enough. There's also one mom who's (um, how to put this delicately?) a little bit racist, and she's definitely not afraid to let her feelings show when the producers let her "catch" her son kissing someone she finds undesirable. Yikes. Besides that, there are just so many awkward scenes, like one where the mom climbs into the pool alongside her son and the girl he's hitting on. It's trainwreck TV at its best - or worst, depending on how you feel about that sort of thing.

Ryan Seacrest: Momma's Boy

NBC might have made most of its big programming announcements early, but that doesn't mean the network is staying out of the spotlight entirely at this year's upfronts. Today, the network announced it will team with Ryan Seacrest for a dating show called Momma's Boys, in which a group of mothers will attempt to choose the appropriate mates for their eligible-bachelor sons.

According to NBC, the show will pose the ultimate question: "Who is really the most important woman in every man's life?"

Conflict results when numerous mothers and their eligible bachelor sons are housed together with several "brides-to-be." As the tension mounts, viewers will watch the controlling mothers search for their son's perfect mate.

The press release also describes the sons as "complacent" . . . so yeah, sounds like these ladies will end up with quite the catch.

Seacrest is only on board to produce - not host - at the moment, but that didn't stop him from waxing poetic about his own momma in the press release: "Anytime I make a decision either personally or professionally, I have to ask myself . . . what would my mother say? Like it or not, I am a true momma's boy."

There's something to be said about a man who knows how to treat his mother. When he showers her with love, admiration, and respect, it's a pretty good indication on how he's going to treat his wife or girlfriend. Of course, independence and masculinity are important qualities for a man to convey, what I want to know is, is being a mama's boy a turn on or a turn off?

Tyler Florence and Andrew Zimmern's Public Feud

Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern doesn't like Tyler Florence and he's not afraid to publicly express his disgust for the Food Network chef. Last week on his personal blog, Zimmern said in a discussion of Ryan Seacrest's reality show, Momma's Boys:

Monday’s episode featured the worlds least talented TV chef, Tyler Florence, once again churning out the questionable cooking advice and the leading the ladies through a menu of the Moms fave recipes. Watching Florence wolf down the food, stare and ogle every ass that strolled by his cutting board and play the role of local TV stud was high comedy of the highest order.

Normally I have pretty thick skin when it comes to blogs and what people think. It is a free country after all, But this guy Andrew Zimmern, the guy who eats dried camel cock for a living, has decided to dis my life's work because I did, my personal friend, Ryan Seacrest, a favor and helped him out with his first big television production, "Momma's Boy's" It was a big hit for NBC and something I had a fun time doing. It's bubble gum reality, who cares. It was funny. I guess it hard to have a since of humor when you're on your 10th take of eating Yak testicles, smiling to the camera, wondering where your life went wrong......... mmmmm, Delicious! Go get'em guys. Let's put an end to Chef on Chef violence in '09.

I think it's interesting how Florence asks for an end to chef feuding after he violently disses Zimmern. What do you think of the battle? Who do you side with: Zimmern or Florence?

Dear Sugar,

I've been on and off with my boyfriend of two years, and recently everything seemed to be going in a good direction with us, but in the past few weeks, he hasn't been answering my calls or texts. When I finally got a hold of him, we went out to eat and he told me his mom doesn't want us to date anymore.

I don't understand why he listens to her. I think my feelings for him are stronger than his feelings toward me. I'm trying to forget about his mother, but it's hard, I miss him. Should I try to get back together with him or is it a worthless battle?

Since you say that over your two-year relationship it's been hot and cold, I think this guy may be using his mother as an excuse to end it for good. I'll agree that it's kind of a wimpy way to go about it, and if he doesn't think you guys should be together, he should just be honest with you. Either way, he doesn't sound like a very trustworthy or honest guy to be in a relationship with.

Breaking up with your boyfriend is never easy, especially when you've been together for so long, but the thing is, relationships aren't supposed to be this hard. If you are constantly on a roller coaster of being together, then breaking up, again and again, there's obviously something wrong. Sure, of course relationships aren't perfectly blissful all the time, but they're definitely supposed to be mostly great and wonderful. If this guy isn't meant for you, there's someone out there who is.

I have faith that you will heal and become a stronger woman from this experience. Feeling heartache is one of the worst feelings in the world. The only thing great about having your heart broken, is that when you finally do fall in love, you'll know it because you'll have the opposite feelings to compare it to. I hope this helps.

Casey Affleck and his wife Summer Phoenix grabbed lunch in LA yesterday with little Indiana and their unknown named new baby. We haven't yet gotten a glimpse of the little guy who spent his afternoon nuzzled up next to momma's hip. How cute is Casey with his oldest boy Indiana in their matching headbands - love it. Maybe the boys were on their way to a game of pickup ball in the LA sun?

Christina Gets Bubbly and Sassy For Ellen

Christina Aguilera stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this morning for her first TV interview since Max's birth. She was positively glowing showing off those assets in a low cut flowy green dress. Ellen cut right to the chase asking Xtina if she is breast feeding and then commenting that Max is going to be a very healthy boy. Heh. Christina was also happy to talk about their penis balloon Bris (she hasn't lost that raunchy side) and moving into the Osbourne's famous house. Thankfully Ellen also brought up the scary moon in Max's nursery (and offered a suitable replacement). Aguilera was also there to promote her Back to Basics DVD, but really it's all about Mr. Max. Check out the interview below - I can't wait until he's ready to leave the house in his momma's arms so we can get another look at his cuteness.
