Backstage at the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Diane Kruger says she is tougher than all the boys she worked with on Inglourious Basterds, the ladies of Nine get playful with Penelope Cruz, and a Glee cast member says Katie Holmes is a friend and fan of the show's stars.

Following yesterday's news about another order for Glee, comes word from the Winter TCA this morning that ABC has ordered second seasons of The Middle, Modern Family (more Phil!), and Cougar Town.
As a fan of the Wednesday comedy lineup, I'm psyched to see all of the shows remain intact, and especially happy for Courteney Cox for proving that she's more than just a one-hit-show wonder. Congrats all!

Still, that floor lamp was pretty distracting, with its multiple turned wood curves and sleek black finish.

Mitchell wants to use the Ferber Method, which says a child can be taught to put herself to sleep with self soothing techniques, but Cameron can't stand to hear the baby whimper in her crib. Breakout comedy Modern Family has fans and critics on its side (it even scored a Golden Globe nom!), and I've come to love the freshman ensemble. If you have, too, take my quiz on the show's stellar first half of the season!

You guys have gotten to weigh in on your favorites in TV for 2009, and now it's my turn: this year was a revelation for small screen comedies and dramas, and I was watching it all, crying and guffawing at some blockbuster episodes. Not everything made my shortlist of favorites for the year — the ones that did, though, were the series I couldn't turn off and can't wait to see more from in 2010.
